We’ve been visiting Taj Mahal for many years now and we’ve always received a very warm welcome. They offer an extensive choice of Indian meals, cooked with quality fresh ingredients & authentic spices. There are plenty of meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options. The manager, Monzu, works closely with his staff, to ensure all customers receive the best dining experience. We have to give a special mention to Iqbal, who looks after us whenever we visit. First take away order last night, as just moved into the area, two curry's with rice and naan.Won't be ordering again as food quality is quite low, chicken over processed and popadoms and naan looked like they were cooked a week ago.Would not recommend.

Best restaurant in Southport. My husband and I won't go anywhere else. Super friendly and attentive staff. Spotless facilities and dining area. Great menu and very fairly priced. Excellent chefs, delicious food and great portion sizes. I can even ask for a slight change in heat in my favourite dishes and am accommodated perfectly. Thank you Taj Mahal ?

We had the meat thali which was really good value for money. One of the lamb mains was a bit spicy for our taste but all the starters and mains were very nice. Would definitely order again . Food arrived on time and hot.

Food was delicious, cannot fault anything. I’ve eaten here 3 times and never been disappointed. Staff friendly and atmosphere delightful.Vegetarian options: I didn’t order vegetarian dish , my friend did and enjoyed hers.

We haven’t actually eaten in the restaurant but we order takeaways from here on a weekly basis. The food always arrives in less than an hour and is always hot on arrival. The food is good quality and tasty, and the portion sizes are big. We have tried lots of Indians in the area and this is by far the best, wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Highly recommend the chicken tikka bhuna if you aren’t good with spice- Super tasty and lots of chunky chicken.
I've tried most curry houses in Southport and this is by far THE BEST! Top tip - eat in as although the restaurant doesn't have the most amazing decor, the food is cooked fresh and arrives piping hot if you dine in.Parking: Roughly enough for 6 cars
