We call in for our Costa coffee fix most days (New Brighton). The staff are always very pleasant and patient. It can be extremely busy, but they always make everyone welcome. We’ve often observed them helping people with physical difficulties and they are always, without exception, caring and courteous, no matter how busy the shop is. We really enjoy our visit there - it’s part of our routine now! A big thank you to you all! ???

The place is dirty with food and used napkins on the floor and dirty dishes left on tables. I asked for a cloth to wipe my own table. Staff refused and said they would do it. Still waiting 10 minutes later. Really not good enough Costa!!!

We visited here as we had been to the cinema and we wanted a drink, maybe lunch. It is a small store but we spied a table and sat down. My husband went to order and the queue was past the door (probably 15 + waiting). It took about 20 minutes to be served and in that time I was watching the staff - 3 ladies and they didn't stop. The queue never got any shorter and had actually increased by the time we left. However the 3 ladies could not have done more. Whether this was normal staffing and they were caught out by the number of people out and about on New Year's day (it was heaving with walkers on the prom) or whether this was normal staffing, I felt I had to go over and say thank you and to let them know we had noticed how hard they were working and trying to do their best. As I approached one lady going in to the back room, you could see she was preparing for a complaint and she visibly relaxed when I explained I just wanted to say thank you. A second lady, who hadn't moved from the coffee machine put her head around the corner and when she heard what I was saying, she actually had tears in her eyes, as one customer had just issued a torrent of abuse at her. I could see my thanking them made a huge difference and I just hope others apprecated their efforts too. We are very quick to criticise or complain but I also believe in credit where credit is due and I was so glad I had taken the time to thank them. I was so disappointed that people were complaining - surely they could see there was nothing more the staff coud have done under the circumstances? Under those circumstances, if they didn't want to wait, there were plenty of other outlets where they could have had a drink or lunch. We would certainly return next time we are at the cinema or on the prom and I only hope Costa realise how dedicated and hard working their staff were on January 1st 2024 in their New Brighton unit.

Shocking customer service. Toast was like stale anaemic bread. My coffee was 3/4 full and the two members of staff were like petulant teenagers being made to work
Considering that within a 4 minute walk is a starbucks and Caffè cream plus several other local coffee shops this one is always busy, I feel that speaks volumes as starbucks is always empty.Great coffee, nice friendly staff, nice place.Vegetarian options: They have soya, oat, and coconut milk if you don't wish to have cow juice and there is both vegetarian and vegan food in the heated sandwiches range.

I’ve been using this coffee shop for last 6 months and I must say that the staff have always been polite and helpful.I must say that the staff work really hard.

Came to New Brighton and whilst the weather wasn't the best, the service and atmosphere made everything all so much better, Ruth the manager there is super lovely and nice and Stevie who makes the coffees is incredible at what she does, best Costa I've been in and I've been all around the country ☺️

This costas is usually loud, crowded and draughty. Just had a medium coffee n cream frappe as my freebie as no chocolate fudge frappe. It costs £4.55 and tastes like cardboard! Costas should be looking at their prices, quality and product overall. Also making us collect 10 beans instead of 8 hasn't gone unnoticed. They need to up their game.
