Awful choice of beer upstairs in function roomAsked what real ale they had available and barman laughed at me and asked “what’s that”.. surely any basic Barman training would cover real ale brands within the pubMyself, fiance and step dad had to go downstairs to buy real ale as the choice upstairs was appalling and they wouldn’t count it towards the overall spend of the bar upstairs.Sort the availability of the choice in the upstairs function room and the basic spend will be metCan’t believe I was laughed at for asking what real ale was. Appalling, disappointing and rude customer service

This pub is OK, but it could be si much better. The staff were really nice but tended to gravitate to one side of the bar. With what appeared to be the regular customers. Which is great when no one else needs serving. I noticed that a few older ladies had to walk all the way round the bar from a back room in order to get served and then back again with full glasses. This could have been prevented if the bar staff actively checked the whole bar and not just where they are standing or at least offer to serve the drinks at the other side of the bar so they didn't have to carry them back again. It feels abit intimidating when you first walk in because people(customers) just stare at you without looking away, maybe it would be easier if the staff just said hello to ease this because once you are in it really is a really nice place. Down to earth and enjoyable.

Nice friendly vibe to this pub, bar staff are great, atomsphere is sound, they have numerous tvs for live sport aswell. Also dog friendly!
