Enjoyed a lovely pizza and mulled wine at the outfox last night. Atmosphere was very Christmassy and staff exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend

treated a friend who had not been before and she loved it! thought the place was incredible, excellent food and although very busy we didn't have to wait too long for our food! she definitely wants to go back again!!

Have been regular customers since the Rex Fox opened and whilst appreciate that the cost of ingredients has increased, the prices have gone up considerably with portion sizes being smaller. The chicken supreme which two of us had was good but my husband had the chicken, leek and ham pie and whilst the contents of the pie were good the pastry lid was like concrete and no way could he get a knife through it. Even trying to break it with his fingers was impossible. Told the waitress but she just said 'sorry'' and that was all. Two of our party had the small dessert with a drink and could not believe how small the piece of sticky toffee pudding was and certainly does not warrant the price increase. We were disappointed to see that the only choice of a small portion on the main menu is now fish and chips. Why has the small portion of ham, egg and chips been removed from the menu. A lot of older people prefer a small portion choice and do not always want fish and chips. Surely you could provide other main dishes as a smaller portion. The management need to up their act if they want to continue encouraging people to eat at the Rex Fox and provide a better value for money.

Nice atmosphere and good food. As other reviewers have noted, getting anyone's attention when you arrive is a challenge but no problems after that. Food menu was not huge but was very varied. Beer menu is extensive! Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a look.

When we arrived at the Red Fox, it took a while for the staff to acknowledge our presence despite the bar being fairly empty. They had obviously been busy and apart from that little niggle, we enjoyed our late lunch immensely. The food was very good, and the waitress was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Had a very enjoyable afternoon meal for 3 but when my wife shared some feedback about her mackerel dish being somewhat “light” in terms of fish, salad, 1 potato but an excessive filler of croutons the waitress appeared dismissive. Not expecting freebies just acknowledgment of the feedback … non of which. Food was great but the customer experience was not I’m afraid and we are a regular

Booked as a special birthday treat but have to say it was disappointing. Sandwiches were not as fresh as I would expect and did not appear professionally made, rather clumsily put together. Had to ask every time to have the tea topped up. Noone asked if everything was alright or not. Don’t supply a box for you to take extra cakes home and put sandwiches and cakes in a mashed tin foil parcel!

Nice first time visit, gorgeous setting and friendly staff. Fantastic choice on the Gluten Free menu and tasty main course of crispy Chilli beef. Lovely small pudding and coffee option for afterwards. Overall a very nice experience & great venue for large parties/ families.

A Good trading platform I can truly trust. They are transparent on all transactions and explain everything clearly. I never had fear and i am confident in trading with them. They have given me so many great opportunities to earn better profits. I am glad to have traded with the right broker. I gain good profit and received my withdrawals earlier than expected date. Good brokerage platform. I'm happy to work with Mrs EMILY MORGAN, Fx. This probably was the best choice of my life, EMILY details below Mrs EMILY Fx. We have been customers since it first opened. This is the first time we have not been happy. I had fish and chips, the batter inside was not cooked. My wife had the Sea Bass on a bed of what looked like tinned tomatoes mashed up and Kayle which was very tough. The main course arrived without cuttlery. Hopefully this was just a blip.

Never been here since it became the Red Fox. First impressions very good, beautiful old building in well maintained gardens. Notice outside to go to the bar, which we did, and waited. Several staff around, no acknowledgement of us being there , it took way to long to be eventually greeted. That needs addressing as it is not good. Shown to our table , very nice overlooking the gardens. Opted for a glass of champagne each to start. Again , the wait was too long, it wasn’t busy so I don’t understand why. We ordered our food. No complaints with the food only the wait for it. Unusually for us , we opted for desserts also. They were the quickest to come out. So to sum up, the management need to ensure guests are acknowledged and given a smile as they arrive at the bar, and speed the service up a bit.

Great place, fantastic surroundings, professional staff, welcoming, but their signature dish: fish and chips, is starting to look a little less appealing. While still good, the fish appears to be getting smaller, the batter less crunchy, and the portion of mushy peas again reducing in size. That's a shame, because it's why we go.

Second visit whilst staying in the area visiting friends, food and service were excellent as before, would definitely recommend.

Best pub I have ever been. The garden is a nice place to chill when is sunny, lots of different offers of food and beverages and the sunday roast (lamb) is unreal and the fish and chips is also very nice

This was meant to be a treat but it was awful. I would have thought any chef or cook would have been too embarrassed to serve and charge for the food we were presented with. Sandwiches were bland and dry. The fillings were clearly from mass catering tubs and not freshly prepared - chicken in a white lubricant (not mayo or yoghurt) and surely it is quite hard to make a bad ham sandwich? Dry white bread, a tiny slice of cheap ham and a smear of spread (don't even think it was butter). Ever heard of mustard or tomato? Oh God, the quiche. Freshly defrosted from Iceland perhaps? Soggy pastry and wet potato inside. Sausage roll pastry also soggy around a grey pate like filling. The cakes were also freshly defrosted, lemon tart with soggy pastry, soggy eclair with melted icing and a meringue with a quarter of a strawberry on it. The scone was good and the tea was nice too. I would have thought for the price we might have been offered a fresh pot or at least some boiling water to top it up. Other places also offer a range of teas, Earl Grey isn't an exotic rarity! Writing this has made me realise how bad it actually was. I couldn't say at the time because the person who had bought me the treat was with me, I thought the staff would work it out though because we ate virtually nothing. The staff were friendly but not especially attentive. Really, you should be ashamed that you expect people to pay for this.
