Bit mixed review, lovely pub in rural village, we ate evening meal, menu a bit restricted for choice, wife does not eat meat so oppted for catch of day it was Salmon. Salmon for catch of the day? Not sure from the North sea and why cooked in cordon bleu style? Country village pub i would have liked it to reflect village style, not too fancy etc.I thought overall too pricy especially, bottles of wine. Bench seat most uncomfortable ever sat on, pub lounge lovely and cosy and I hope for better next year.

Dog friendly, always a plus for me and a truly excellent roast dinner. Easy to find and friendly staff. Recommended.

Lovely venue, couldn't fault it really. The food was delicious. The menu provided a variety of options but was small enough for you to know everything was freshly cooked:- the burger was huge and tasty- the mussels were fantastic with a sauce to die for- a broad selection of wine and beer optionsThe staff were great and loved our dog. It's dog friendly!

Lovely pub and welcoming staff and good service. Only disappointment was the food as it was expensive and portions small though the Bakewell tart was most generous. Lack of choice for vegetarians

Had a nice drink here on Boxing Day off the brunch in the harper.

Truly delicious meal. Between us we had the pumpkin risotto, stone bass catch of the day and mussels all of which were cooked to perfection. Excellent service- didn’t have to wait too long. Slightly on the expensive side but we didn’t mind as the quality of the food justified the cost.Vegetarian options: Menu offered both vegetarian and vegan options. The pumpkin risotto was very good

Fantastic service and food, Great service from behind the bar (Honnor and Daisy) made a lovely night. Definitely recommend popping in for a few jars and a feed.

Shocking service, food was below average after ordering two steaks which couldn’t even be cut into properly due to the way it was cooked/meat provided. Not even offered steak knives either. To then go pay the bill and they put through the food more expensive than what was priced on the menu itself (and the website showing even cheaper than in the restaurant), when challenged the manager just walked off with attitude for the other to sort. We came here 2 years ago and had a lovely family meal therefore wanted to come back again but will not be returning after this experience.

My wife and I had a delicious Sunday roast, for me, and starter with veggies, for herself. Jaz and Daisy were lovely host and server. Excellent food, a lovely atmosphere which got even better as the place filled.A good concise menu (too much choice is bad, in my book) a short wine list (again, good) with, we found, excellent service. If you’re in the vicinity, do yourselves a favour and book a table. You’ll not be disappointed. ?

My wife and I have just had a splendid lunch at the Bluebell. A small, concise menu (we much prefer this, rather than a gargantuan choice where we don’t know where to start) with two roasts to supplement; turkey and beef. I had the turkey with red cabbage, an excellent pig-in-blanket, goose-fat roasted potatoes and roasted carrot. This all came with an individual portion of green veggies and cauliflower-cheese. My wife can not eat a big meal so she had a veggie starter and an individual portion of boiled potatoes, supplemented by some of my green veggies and cauliflower-cheese. We don’t normally drink alcohol but we wanted to splash out a bit and we were guided through the wines settling in a 125ml and 175ml glass of house white. Quite dry! The portions were more than a match for us both. We decided to go with a pudd! My wife had two scoops of ice cream and I had the mincemeat Bakewell tart with ginger-flavoured custard and one scoop of vanilla ice cream. I successfully negotiated an extra little jug of custard because I love custard and don’t get many opportunities to have it. When we arrived we were greeted by Jaz who showed us to our table and we ordered soft drinks to be getting on with. We were served by a delightful server called Daisy who was an enthusiastic source of information. Both Daisy and Jaz were very welcoming and made our visit extremely pleasant. In summary, a country pub/restaurant with excellent food, well cooked and presented with lovely staff who obviously enjoy their jobs and are happy to serve their customers. Although I have singled out Jaz and Daisy for high praise, there were other staff who no doubt are equally worthy. To conclude; if you are within striking distance of the Langham Bluebell a visit will reward you well. Enjoy ?

Probably the Best Sunday lunch out we have ever had! Amazing quality food, and great service Perfectly cooked Pink sirloin of beef and the pork was incredibly tasty. Great selection of vegetables too,. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps the ambient temperature of the pub could have been a little warmer on a chilly November Sunday evening, ( time to light those inviting fires!) Will definitely look forward to returning soon.

We were a party of four and all found the food to be excellent. Two of the party are vegetarian and could have the vegetarian Wellington from the menu with all the trimmings of the Sunday roast menu with veggie gravy and new potatoes instead of roast potatoes cooked in duck fat. Two had the pork Sunday roast and the meat was particularly good and well cooked, All the vegetables were delicious, particularly the cauliflower cheese with truffle. The ice cream and sorbet were both delicious and the Baron Bigod cheese and crackers with quince jelly were excellent. Service was good and the staff were friendly and professional.

We selected this pub for dinner and were not disappointed. Although we felt the restaurant part of the pub lacked a little atmosphere (maybe some different lighting and some wall art would have helped), the service was very good and the food excellent. My wife professed the mussels as 'stunning' and my mushroom risotto was also very good. We would go back

Recently stayed at The Harper for 5 nights and visited on three occasions, twice for drinks and once to eat. The staff were all friendly and welcoming the beer “Wherry” was excellent. At this time of year the food is served Thursday- Saturday and it’s well worth planning to visit on one of these nights. Our visit coincided with Norfolk Restuarant week and we enjoyed two courses for £29. I had the Beef and Guiness pie and my wife the Stone Bass both were fantastic. For dessert I went for Apple and Berry Crumble and my Wife the Bakewell tart. If you’re staying at the Harper I’d recommend stepping out to the Bluebell for a night. They complement each other well.
