Love love love this fish & chip place! We always travel all the way to Cromer as they are the nicest. Never had a bad meal here. Not greasy at all. Staff always polite and quick service. One of the other things I absolutely love here is there are no calories in sight on the menu's. Can't tell you how much we love this and appreciate it Mary Jane's Fish Bar! Thank you ?

Not too keen on fish with the skin on it (who is?). Also, the batter was not really to my liking (I think it was the oil it was cooked in). Place was freezing, although this was mainly down to customers who didn't understand what a door was for. Pot of tea was nice, so was the accompanying extra beans I ordered.Price wise, it was pretty good saying it was close to the front.

Great food, including actually decent vegetarian options!! Don't usually find that in fish and chip shops, so it was a nice surprise not being stuck with chips and a salad for once ?

Lousy, greasy fish and chips, totally over priced sausage and chips at £9.50. Okey, if the two sausages had been butcher's, rather than a leading cheap supermarket brand, then £9.50 be acceptable. Matching the cheap sausages were the awful, cheap sauce sachets on the table, tasted disgusting too. No Heinz, or HP at this overpriced dump. On going to pay the bill was asked cash, or card. Tapped the machine and no sooner I'd payed when I was met with attitude by a young girl (not the slim one) stating we aren't ment to accept American Express. Hardly my fault, terribly rude attitude so would advise against eating at this establishment on the grounds of a member of staff's attitude, and generally poor food. Much better run establishment around the corner I'd highly recommend walking there.

Food was really niceOn arrival you are met at the door and told to sit anywhereOnce seated it all felt very rushedWe were looking at the menu ordering and once we had ordered fish and chips and sausages and chips we were not asked if we wanted anything else but the girl just walked off so we had to wait for her to walk back to ask for curry sauceThis also happened to the table behind usWhen the food came it was plonked on the table and we had to swap mealsOnce we finished and plates were cleared our bill was slapped down even though we were still drinking and wanted more drinksIt’s not like they needed the table as there were about 10 emptyIt all felt very rushed

It's one of Cromer's top fish and chip shops, offering a wide range of hot food that you would expect from such a place as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options. Sides are also available as well as burgers, fritters, sauces, etc.The food is well cooked and great value for money. Polite, efficient staff serve you hot food in recyclable packages and bags.Highly recommend for all your fish and chip needs, great for all the family.Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian burgers, sausages and brie wedges
