Terrific lunch today, both my wife and I had delicious baguettes which came with salad and the bar had a good range of beers and the service was friendly and quick .. really couldn’t find a single fault .. lots of fresh choice on the menu .. go there

We were a walk-in on a busy Friday night and found a pleasant corner table for two. The service was excellent - staff were friendly and helpful. The skate on the specials board was delicious and served lovely and hot with tasty veg. My husband’s sausage dish also met with appreciation. We will return for sure when back in the area.

After 45 years as an Hotel & Licensed Property Valuer the meal we had ranked with the top ranked gastro pubs in the Home Counties etc.Food,Service and Atmosphere top rate.
Called earlier today (2.30pm) for a last minute reservation expecting to be told they were fully booked, Lisa went out of her way to find me a suitable table that would be ready in the next half and hour. Really attentive service throughout, always get a nice welcome from Louise whenever we’re in as a family. All the staff are great and the excellent food is just a bonus. Thanks again, Matt, Amanda, Teddy & Desi.

Pipped in for a mid afternoon fish & chips meal. We had booked a table & the staff were warm & welcoming.The fish & chips were very good, crispy batter, hot crisp chips, lovely mushy peas & tartare sauce.We would certainly recommend & will return.
