Dropped into this friendly little pub and was upset to be the driver that day as a good selection of beers (including a favourite of mine NOG) were on sale, however the coffee I had and the drinks of my friends were well, and quickly served. The general atmosphere in the place was pleasant and the surroundings were comfortable. Our only minor complaint was that the ladies toilet on that day was quite a distance from the bar and meant crossing an outdoor courtyard on a cold and rainy day.

Popped in for drinks with friends on saturday afternoon just before new year. Busy pub, sat at the bar, great service from experienced bar lady, very friendly pub with mixture of locals and tourists. Will be back when they reopen in February.

Went to the Wellie to celebrate my birthday and watch a great band, the Hot Crumbs. Unfortunately it was spoiled by one young man who wanted to be the centre of attention and did not respect anybody elses space and was rude to one of our party, unfortnately the landlady seemed to think it was okay. Hey ho, you live and learn. It was a shame because the vibe otherwise was good and the rest of the clientele were more respectful and enjoyed themselves.Safety: Maybe there should have been a security presence to calm THAT young man down?
