Not sure if the customer service is meant to be grumpy or not. I'm also not sure why they only like cash payments and get annoyed at card payments. Fish was nice but the batter was poor. Needed more time in fryer. Otherwise an average chip shop with a character serving!Parking: About 40 spots

We were staying in the area and popped in to get a Saturday night takeaway. Scouted out a few fish and chip shops in the town but plumped for this one as looked very clean and organised and was very popular with locals! Lovely large piece of fish and good-sized portion of chips, not too greasy, just crisp enough ?

Avoid...they rob you..paid with a £20 note, but they only gave change for £10!!! Most expensive sausage and chips ever and wouldn't rectify....I will never use them again..

I come all the way from Norwich just for Mr Chips’ chips! Food is always ready within minutes, sometimes seconds. Mr Chips himself always greets with “What would you like, young man?”. There is a small covered seating area outside with benches perfect for a sunny day and the shop is actually situated directly next to a public car park.

It was an average chip shop, nothing to look at. Nice food, perhaps a bit plain.

The chips are usually pretty nice, but the blatant and malicious transphobia from the owner and staff left a bitter taste in my mouth.Needles to say, I won't be going again, they're not queer-friendly.

Visited today for some dinner for me and my daughter. We had a childrens cod & chips meal (included a drink), cheesy chips, savaloy, curry sauce, baked beans and a can of drink, total was £16.70 which was absolutely amazing! The meals are very generous servings and food was cooked to perfection. We have been coming here for a while and will definitely continue coming. Staff are always very friendly and the place is always clean. No faults at all :)
