Stopped by for a bite to eat and ordered the open club sandwich and quiche of the day. Sandwich only came on its own so ordered some extra fries and the quiche came with fries and salad which was nearly too much for us and we do like our food! Both were delicious, throughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and service was quick. I would definitely come back again

Had a nice meal of Seabass potatoes and salad, all good although the fish portion was small. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Served by 2 disgruntled members of staff moaning about having been there for 5 hours. Terrible service and attitud,we were obviously in the way. Feel sorry for people if they expect a smile or pleasantly this was noticeably lacking. Also fed upwith having chocolate spinkle thrown all over my saucer. Very disappointing.unfriendly.

My father used to love coming here. The restaurant was great but the beautiful park and gardens were well worth a visit.

The girls on today, Sunday, need to up their game - barely a 'please' or 'thank you', one word answers and no apologies for getting the order wrong. Please train your staff to be polite and friendly - it creates a terrible impression otherwise.

Went here for a quick bite and chose the scones. My partner had the fruit one with jam and I had the cheese one. We both had flat white coffees with oat milk. The scones were large and very tasty. The coffee came from a machine and was poor. It was in a small cup as flat whites generally are, but was an espresso with a lot foam on top. There was no milk to taste. Staff were fine.

During school holidays, one person serving is a recipe for long queues of hot, fed up customers. The servery is a real choke-point at any time, so when busy it is almost not worth the effort. We live locally and it’s been this way for some time.

Arrived early for a Pensthorpe visit. Went for lunch, and sat outside. Wasps a bit of a problem. Plenty of choice of food. Cream tea delicious. Good preparation for our visit!

We visited with our children age 13 and 9. We did the tractor tour which was really informative about the conservation work of Pensthorpe, the history and the different species of birds and planes. This cost extra (about an extra £14 for 2A2C) but was well worth it - the kids were given a spotter sheet of things to spot on the tour so kept them entertained. The park itself has an amazing outdoor play area suitable for all ages. The little stream to walk through was extremely welcomed as a little cool down from the heatwave! We had booked the indoor play area, not sure if it was really suited for our children’s ages (was free to book an hour time slot) but actually they had a great time. It was all wooden and natural and there was a little cafe area and seating upstairs for adults. The walk around the park was really good, lots to see - plants, flowers, sculptures, lakes, bird hides, ducks and flamingoes. There was a lot of walking but also lots of benches along the way to stop and rest at. I was really impressed with the amount of wasp traps in the trees too, wasps usually spoil a day out like this but we didn’t have a problem with them at all. We all really enjoyed our day and thought it was well worth the entrance fee. We will definitely be back.

Lovely day out with lots to see and do, restaurant food very good. We loved feeding the birds and going on the Land Rover trailer trip. Really good day for adults and kids. Kids indoor and outdoor play areas are well designed and great fun ???

Decided to have a spot of lunch here whilst visiting the park and it's a lovely location however our experience wasn't great. Upon entering the cafe we joined a queue of approximately 10 people which given it was lunchtime was expected, unfortunately only one member of staff was serving causing the wait time to be extended. Once we reached the till to order we found that the items we wanted were sold out, two of the four options on their menu, at 12:40pm when the cafe is open till 3pm. We did manage to get food for the children which the quality was good but let down by the overall experience.
