At first the service was not good, after we returned the order because it was messed up, they changed the waiter who was really good. The setting was pleasant but the two adjacent tables were very noisy, we couldn't hear each other at all, shortly after they turned up the music and conversation at our table became completely impossible. The food wasn't bad.

Lovely restaurant, food was delicious with friendly service. We had different dished (4 people) and all enjoyed our meals. Mussels for starter was my favourite. Happy to recommend and we will visit again.

I ordered marinated garlic lemon and thyme chargrilled chicken. Slow roasted tomatoes looked like mush, onion rings weren't cooked, hand cooked chips were the scrapings. Couldn't taste any marinade although chicken was OK. Presentation was shocking. Everything was greasy. When we complained manager told us it was our fault for not pre ordering and the kitchen can only cope with a table of 4. We were a booking of 21. Shouldn't take large bookings and then blame the guests. Had panko prawns for starter. That was nice. Managers attitude towards us was disgraceful. I was a chef for 25+ years and other lady worked in hospitality. Just wish I could upload a photo

Party off 21 tonight ordered chargrilled chicken in lemon and Tyne! To say it was a very disappointing meal! Presentation was terrible, the chips on the plate had been scrapped off the bottom off the tray not one whole chip plus soaking in oil! The onion rings not cooked and tomatoes had turned into mush, the chicken was the only thing I ate but could not taste the garlic. Spoke to manager who said he can only cover four meals at a time and we did not pre order the food so it was our fault the food came out in the condition it did! We did pre order our food! Seating layout was cramped and unable to walk round the tables. Manager offered us 50% off the meal! Been here loads of times but this is the first time I was unhappy with the food and attitude of Manager.

We found this restaurant while we were out exploring and it looked like a fun place so as we were just staying around the corner we ordered takeaway. My wife had what she says is probably the best chicken burger that she’s ever had. My steak was meant to be medium but came pretty bloody and our onion rings were anaemic! But all in all edible with a bit of home cooking! Would we eat there again? Yes but probably in the restaurant rather than a delivery! The burger option excellent as takeaway but the steak can be a bit of a minefield when delivered.
