My burger was absolutely massive, could have used it as a door wedge. The bbq wings were tasty. The portion sizes are very very generous. Chips were lovely. Honestly haven’t got any complaints. Staff are very friendly. Only been here once but will definitely be returning. 10/10.

The Corner fish and chips
Central Seafront, Marine Parade, Great YarmouthAmazing little shop. Fish and chips were delicious. Portions not huge so I could eat them all. Prices very good to match meant I wasn’t paying for food I wouldn’t eat. They even had a seniors menu for over 65. The shop is small with three tables inside and two tables outside under the canopy which keeps you mostly dry or the bright sun off you. If you are inside you can watch him cook all your meal from fresh including the chips making the food taste so much better than out of a warmer. As you leave and deposit your chip carton in the trash bin in the door, make sure you partake in the tradition of saying ‘thank you’ to him. I come on holidays to the Great Yarmouth seaside with my little Assistance Dog brown Cockapoo, and will be using him as my go to chippie if he is still there in the years to come. Highly recommended.

The place was clean and quiet, the food was fresh, quick and hot (perks of going in when its a quiet winter month I suppose). The building was super warm as well, so really nice to be in considering how icy and gloomy outside was at the time. ?

The St, Horsey, Great YarmouthTruly the best pub I have had the good fortune to find in many years.
Remarkable extensive list of both cask ales and real ciders. Food was superb, we both had the fish and chips (the other half had the gf version) which was unimproveable. Homemade tartare sauce, perfect crispy batter, lovely big haddock fillets. The cider I drank (Snail's Bank Tumbledown) was the best medium sweet cider I have had in a very long time.
Staff were great. We sat outside in the 'garden' (it's a field opposite) so I didn't get to examine properly the wonderful unspoiled interior, so rare in these days of dire, bland modern makeovers that the idiotic general public seem to prefer. This was like taking a time machine back to the country pubs of the 70s. No wonder it won CAMRA Best Rural Pub for the region. Absolute heaven on Earth. I hope very much to return one day.

229 Northgate St, Great YarmouthWe visited today whilst on holiday and were really impressed. We don’t usually eat in pubs, but was seriously impressed with this experience.
I think our waitress was Skye, and she was lovely, as was all the staff. So friendly, and great with our kids
We arrived an hour early for a table of 8, and whilst we couldn’t be seated straight away, we were well looked after
The food was lovely, and such good value! We asked for more gravy and nothing was too much trouble.
We visited on Easter Sunday and some lovely people organised an Easter egg hunt and for the Easter bunny to appear. This was all included, the kids loved it and it made for a really memorable trip.
It’s so rare these days to talk about good value, but this place is amazing value, both from a cost perspective, but also what you get, great food, amazing staff, great service, effort put in for children - super happy

The Bell Public House
The St, Hemsby, Great YarmouthI had the pleasure of holding my 60th b'day celebrations last wkend, May 3rd, at The Bell in Hemsby. I and all my guests were absolutely delighted.
The venue was set up just right with tables, chairs and party lighting and the buffet was simply excellent. Everyone commented not just on the quantity but quality of the food served by Tom the chef who did a superb job.
Lastly, but by no means least, Holly the bar manager was not only a warm and friendly host, but did a great job in keeping everyone served with drinks.
Great experience all round and I have no hesitation in recommending.

Banging fish and chips! Brilliant portion size too! Had a proper good chat with the owner who's a lovely gent.

81 Magdalen Way, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great YarmouthWe are staying at the Haven site in hopton and we decided to have a chippy tea we almost always go local takeaways to support the community and most times it's cheaper and better than the onsite food.
I ordered a medium cod with medium chips and for the missus mince beef and onion pie and medium chips.
When I got back to the caravan I was absolutely astonished on the sheer volume of food for less than £20 and the fish was absolutely spot on , the chips were light and fluffy inside and my fiancé said she absolutely loved the pie. This is definitely our favourite chippy now we will definitely be returning here especially since the staff are also super friendly.

I have never eaten a pie as good as the all steak pie on the special board and the pizza !!!!! Omg AMAZING !!!! staff are really helpful and will answer any question (the wife asks 10001 all the time) great food at great price with excellent service. Honestly try the pizza at a fantastic price and thank me later. Thank you to all staff we met you really were fantastic !!!

Great price and service by the girls, My fish was bloody amazing (batter crispy and the fish really thick, fresh and tastey). Chips were traditional cut and cooked nicely. The Grn, Martham, Great YarmouthExcellent local chippy, so welcoming to all, great team, fun banter but above all they fry the best fish and chips, really fresh and crisp. And a very clean and cared for establishment.
Superb battered fish, they always do skinless to order, which is an absolute bonus. Hearty portions too.
Try and keep it as a fortnightly treat but temptation is often testing!
And finally, they also sell delicious homemade cakes, carrot cake, our all-time fav cake, here is nearly the height of a small bungalow and a real treat, one of the best we've eaten. So that's fine two course suppers sorted ? Tyvm Taylors ?

229 Northgate St, Great YarmouthWe visited today whilst on holiday and were really impressed. We don’t usually eat in pubs, but was seriously impressed with this experience.
I think our waitress was Skye, and she was lovely, as was all the staff. So friendly, and great with our kids
We arrived an hour early for a table of 8, and whilst we couldn’t be seated straight away, we were well looked after
The food was lovely, and such good value! We asked for more gravy and nothing was too much trouble.
We visited on Easter Sunday and some lovely people organised an Easter egg hunt and for the Easter bunny to appear. This was all included, the kids loved it and it made for a really memorable trip.
It’s so rare these days to talk about good value, but this place is amazing value, both from a cost perspective, but also what you get, great food, amazing staff, great service, effort put in for children - super happy
And thanks to Skye, she was awesome!!!!

13-15 North Dr, Great YarmouthWe stayed at in Great Yarmouth for two nights choosing to eat both evenings at Cafe Cru at the Imperial Hotel.
Excellent food and service both evenings, would highly recommend, gluten free options available.
For true wine lovers the choice is outstanding.
We will be back next time we are in the area. Thank you to all the staff for making it a wonderful experience both evenings.

My burger was absolutely massive, could have used it as a door wedge. The bbq wings were tasty. The portion sizes are very very generous. Chips were lovely. Honestly haven’t got any complaints. Staff are very friendly. Only been here once but will definitely be returning. 10/10.

The St, Horsey, Great YarmouthTruly the best pub I have had the good fortune to find in many years.
Remarkable extensive list of both cask ales and real ciders. Food was superb, we both had the fish and chips (the other half had the gf version) which was unimproveable. Homemade tartare sauce, perfect crispy batter, lovely big haddock fillets. The cider I drank (Snail's Bank Tumbledown) was the best medium sweet cider I have had in a very long time.
Staff were great. We sat outside in the 'garden' (it's a field opposite) so I didn't get to examine properly the wonderful unspoiled interior, so rare in these days of dire, bland modern makeovers that the idiotic general public seem to prefer. This was like taking a time machine back to the country pubs of the 70s. No wonder it won CAMRA Best Rural Pub for the region. Absolute heaven on Earth. I hope very much to return one day.

The Corner fish and chips
Central Seafront, Marine Parade, Great YarmouthAmazing little shop. Fish and chips were delicious. Portions not huge so I could eat them all. Prices very good to match meant I wasn’t paying for food I wouldn’t eat. They even had a seniors menu for over 65. The shop is small with three tables inside and two tables outside under the canopy which keeps you mostly dry or the bright sun off you. If you are inside you can watch him cook all your meal from fresh including the chips making the food taste so much better than out of a warmer. As you leave and deposit your chip carton in the trash bin in the door, make sure you partake in the tradition of saying ‘thank you’ to him. I come on holidays to the Great Yarmouth seaside with my little Assistance Dog brown Cockapoo, and will be using him as my go to chippie if he is still there in the years to come. Highly recommended.

The Bell Public House
The St, Hemsby, Great YarmouthI had the pleasure of holding my 60th b'day celebrations last wkend, May 3rd, at The Bell in Hemsby. I and all my guests were absolutely delighted.
The venue was set up just right with tables, chairs and party lighting and the buffet was simply excellent. Everyone commented not just on the quantity but quality of the food served by Tom the chef who did a superb job.
Lastly, but by no means least, Holly the bar manager was not only a warm and friendly host, but did a great job in keeping everyone served with drinks.
Great experience all round and I have no hesitation in recommending.
