My family and I eat out a lot and this was our first time eating here. There's quite a nice warm atmosphere, although it was almost empty when I visited. A rather limited menu, mainly burgers and a few staple dishes (lasagne, steak etc). Unfortunately the food was very average, even tasteless. I had a jacket potato with cheese but it hadn't been buttered so very dry. My companions had loaded fries which sounded great but the chunky chips were tasteless. My nephew's chicken nuggets were cooked well but my niece's macaroni had far too much cheese melted on top. Service was very good but as I say the place was very quietIn my opinion I'm not sure whether this is a bar that does simple food or wants to be something more. It isn't a massive place. They do carveries on Sundays though so might be worth a look. Any other day of the week, I'd find somewhere else.

Had a meal here before we scattered my Aunt's ashes on the beach and the staff were friendly and accomodating and the food was good.

Just visited today for mothers day carvery. Even though we arrived slightly early we were seated straight away, all staff very friendly. Mum's even received a handmade gift, The dining area was decorated with lights and mothers day balloon really added to the atmosphere the food was great we will definitely be back was well worth the journeyThank you Lorna and team.

We stopped here on a cold day to have a drink and warm up. The staff were nice. We just missed Sunday lunch but managed to get a dessert, which was nice. We will be back if ever in the area ?

This place is great for a quick pint or a family meal. The food is always great and the speciality nights are Brill too. The Lacon Arms team is always friendly and welcoming, making any visit a great one.Kid-friendliness: The team always make kids feel really welcome and go out of their way to speak to them and make sure they are enjoying themselves.

I have dined here before but yesterday was our Chapel Christmas Meal. Sadly one of our party was taken poorly just before we sat down but Lorna and her team swung into action, organised and unflappable, defib in and call to the ambulance. Lorna was constantly updating us on progress and making sure we all had refreshments while awaiting the outcome. The ambulance took our dear friend to hospital and we were ushered into the lovely large function room where another table had been laid for us. We found out later that even the chef had been involved in first-aiding bless him, I have to commend them all.Our meal was really lovely-no stinting on portions here and the choice of vegetables was eye-popping. Three beautiful courses thoroughly enjoyed and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be booking our Christmas Meal here next year. But I shall still be coming back for more until then.Blessings to Lorna and her marvellous staff!!!
