Fresh-made cobs, with a lovely view of the river leading to the sea. Very busy little place.

Very friendly, informal and a bit quirky. Very clean. We sat outside in the sun and looked across the marshes to the sea. Bliss!

Cookies is basically a seafood shack that’s expanded to include some indoor and outdoor seating and tables. So before you visit think of it like that. Don’t come with expectations of a restaurant because if they make it like that you’ll be paying restaurant prices. You are not paying restaurant prices at all. What you get is some of the best seafood available and cooked perfectly. But you are paying seafood stall prices. No it doesn’t have facilities and I don’t care. Seafood can be incredibly expensive these days and I struggle to afford it. My favourite lobster comes from here and yes I can afford it. It’s half the price of the seafood delivery van that visits my home town. I love the simplicity and the beautiful food. The owners are lovely but I suspect if you go in all guns blazing expecting a high class establishment with all the facilities, they may be a bit offended (bearing in mind the prices). So go there thinking of a good seafood stall with tables chairs and enjoy what you get because in my view it’s exceptional value for money and I feel lucky to have found it. While there don’t forget to donate to their cats service as they’re doing a sterling job. Crabbies keep up the good work. Those of us who know and appreciate what you do will always return. The ones who don’t can pay a fortune for the same food elsewhere.

Really fantastic food. We had the Crab royal salad. Really fresh. Smoked fish was something else and will be defiantly hard to beat.

Visited Cookies for the fifth time as a visitor from Adelaide in South Australia & wouldn’t miss coming back when ever in the UK.Excellent food & service as well as being good value for money. The unique set up says a lot about what the proprietors hold dear to them, which is authentic food in an environment that they have created as a one off experience.Keep up the good work guys & have no hesitation in recommending Cookies Crab shop.

What an amazing seafood cafe! A family business that was established in 1956, the owners were very knowledgeable, and we learnt a lot about the local area and places to visit. It is such a shame that places like this are under threat from 'incomers' who don't understand the local way of life.PLEASE visit, have some delicious seafood, and save a wonderful local business from closure

We booked in advance as we were advised by someone who had visited before we were due in Norfolk that weekend so booked Sunday we knew beforehand that it was cash only and that they are only open 4 days a week because of let down building problems we all chose the platters where you chose your main item and you get some assorted fish seafood on a plate with salad and potato salad etc very tasty and filling I had the crab platter plus a hot drink and a sweet each our total came to about £30 very filling and great service very friendly the couple running the place it’s very popular so make sure you book

Had a delicious lunch today. Salmon and Crab Royals eaten with bread and butter and cups of tea. What's not to love at less than £15 each. Service smooth and quick and owner very friendly and helpful.

Really recommend a visit. Had a delicious crab platter/salad, the freshest seafood at great prices, far better value than many other places we ate at in the area. The staff were friendly, accommodating in finding us a table though we didn't reserve, and very efficient. Lovely little tables outside to enjoy the sun and the view to the coast. It is cash only here, and no loo available on-site. Some reviews I've seen seem unhappy about that but it's a small and local little crab shack, not a restaurant, so it is what it is. Worth reserving a table as it's extremely popular!

Looks fab the the food menu was amazing but they only take cash so we couldn't try it out. Worth knowing as there are no cash points nearby!

Great quality. Great food. No airs and graces. Want the Ritz? Don't go here. Want great seafood, then
