The Core
3 Appleyard, HoltMe and my partner dined in earlier. It was an amazing experience. The food was ginormous. Almost an American serving. I did not expect that from a British Cafe. The taste? Lovely as well. I prefer the Classic Burata. Definitely will go back and dine again.

Hetty's House Tea Room
Country Park, Norwich Rd, HoltReally sweet and unique place with quick service and good prices. We strayed in the indoor tea hut which was warm, comfy, and had an Alexa to play music and Wi-Fi. Really special and unique place that you won't find anywhere

Dun Cow Salthouse
Purdy St, Salthouse, HoltLovely food - bit more pricey for the area, but clearly pitched at restaurant level. The small plates are, in fact, quite small; they make an effort to put a unique spin even on classics like fish and chips. I had the potted/smoked salmon and halloumi fries which were both very well done: lots of fresh flavours with the salmon, and freshly fried halloumi fries with aioli.

The Retreat Cabins B&B
Bridge House Bridge Road, High Kelling, HoltWe had a wonderful stay at the retreat whilst in Norfolk for a Voewood wedding. Jacqueline and Matthew were so welcoming and attentice, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - the breakfast is amazing and the little touches like the chocolates, biscuits and tea make it a perfect room to relax. The bed is also super comfy! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be booking again - thank you for having us ?

Nina's
Lees Yard, HoltHidden away, gladly sign-posted, we returned for our annual visit. The small yard is quaint, private and really lovely. Service is very personable and Nina is a lovely lady, very friendly and accommodating. For lunch I had the mackerel pate which was excellent, whilst my husband chose the filo pastry prawns which were equally good. Good choice of wines which are reasonably priced. This place is off of the main 'touristy drag' and has a lovely ambience. Lovely decor, clean, well maintained and we cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Nina for a lovely lunch time. enough

Two Magpies Bakery
Back Ln, Blakeney, HoltAbsolutely delightful and character full bakery and eatery. Super staff and service. Fantastic choices of unique homemade produce. My cousin and me had the full English breakfast. We both said it was the very best breakfast we had ever had. I eat gluten free and there was a lot of choice. They very happily advised on what was safe to eat, and even included some alternatives to "make up" for not being able to have the sausages and my dislike of eggs. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Red Hart Inn Bodham
The St, Bodham, HoltWent along with Gia on Saturday to try some more of the new menu, this time I went for the hunters chicken which did not dissapoint. I’m quite fussy when it comes to eating chicken out, but it was cooked to perfection and I would certainly have it again. Tried the arancini for starters which was also amazing! Staff as always very welcoming and the girls on shift India and Olivia were very attentive. Looking forward to karaoke night next ! Also to add as the options aren’t there, would recommend the mixed grill and the gammon egg and chips x

Taste of India
31 Bull St, HoltFriendly welcome and seated straight away early evening. Wine options reasonably priced by the glass or bottle and great quality. Good poppadoms and chutney tray, onion, tomato and fresh coriander dish the freshest and finest I've ever tried. Moved straight to mains. We tweaked one of the dishes in two ways, noted carefully by the waiter and exactly as we wanted. Great mains, not too much chilli heat, all nicely spiced flavour. So great food, wines and service, must be one of the best meals in town.

Cookies Crab Shop
Salthouse, HoltCookies is basically a seafood shack that’s expanded to include some indoor and outdoor seating and tables. So before you visit think of it like that. Don’t come with expectations of a restaurant because if they make it like that you’ll be paying restaurant prices. You are not paying restaurant prices at all. What you get is some of the best seafood available and cooked perfectly. But you are paying seafood stall prices. No it doesn’t have facilities and I don’t care. Seafood can be incredibly expensive these days and I struggle to afford it. My favourite lobster comes from here and yes I can afford it. It’s half the price of the seafood delivery van that visits my home town. I love the simplicity and the beautiful food. The owners are lovely but I suspect if you go in all guns blazing expecting a high class establishment with all the facilities, they may be a bit offended (bearing in mind the prices). So go there thinking of a good seafood stall with tables chairs and enjoy what you get because in my view it’s exceptional value for money and I feel lucky to have found it. While there don’t forget to donate to their cats service as they’re doing a sterling job. Crabbies keep up the good work. Those of us who know and appreciate what you do will always return. The ones who don’t can pay a fortune for the same food elsewhere.
