Unfortunately not to previous standard. We both had cheese scones that didn't appear to have seen any cheese! Portions are smaller but prices have risen. Shame as this used to be a perfect lunch destination.

Very disappointing. Felt cold and unwelcoming. Needs tablecloths with the decor and goodies in the shelves. Felt very unloved. Cakes were all boring and brown. Menu on tatty paper still offered Christmas sandwich fillings, soup was lukewarm warm. Paul wandered in and out but did nothing. Not a patch on how it used to be.

Under the new ownership of Paul Rodgers we visited the Folly Tearoom on its first day We were given a welcoming glass of Proscecco to launch the new Buisness. We had a late breakfast,I had croissant with scrambled egg and salmon filling Sue had pancakes with maple syrup, both were very good. Will certainly return Good luck to you Paul, running the Folly and the Snug

Fantastic place. Came here with mum and brother for coffee and a scone. Sat in the garden which is secluded and well spaced out. Scone was probably the best I’d ever had! Service great. Looking forward to visiting again

This gorgeous little tea room is hidden away at the end of a beautiful, floral alley way. The tea room itself is small and chintz, but the heavily planted courtyard garden is stunning and provides ample seating. The staff are lovely and accommodating. We were seated very quickly and our drinks were delivered within a few minutes.Quality coffee and hot chocolate, they also offer a range of light foods, cakes and cold drinks including alcohol.Definitely worth a visit.

Sat outside in beautiful courtyard garden. Food was good, staff friendly and cafe welcoming to dogs. Would recommend.

Visited The Folly Tearoom for a family celebration. Needed booking - most tables were occupied when we arrived with several partaking in afternoon tea. Service was friendly prompt and sufficiently attentive. The afternoon tea away standout with everything served made to a high standard; delicious, varied, aesthetic, matched / exceeded home made (which is unusual) and with an ability to swap out couple of elements e.g. sandwiches for quiche / sausage roll. We had 3 between 4 of us and struggled to finish everything. Nice ambience & touches like Royal Albert teacups & saucers with teapots with knitted tea cosies. Was one of the best afternoon tea experiences I have had. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience, lovely atmosphere, friendly people and the salmon and cream cheese sandwich with crisps and salad with coffee continued the experience. Will go again .

I really enjoyed this place! Lovely garden and service with a smile! All served on bone china cutlery.

Beautiful place. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Need to book at busy times. Waited nearly 5 minutes to be attended too. 3 staff kept passing me, yet no one seemed interested enough to show me to my table ,which I had pre booked. Very disappointed ☹️

Fabulous afternoon tea, we chose a sweet selection and a savoury selection to mix and match between us. It was super fresh and the hot food was a great temperature. We sat outside in the garden as we had our dog with us. There was more than enough to eat in fact we took some away with us. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.

Visited here Monday 17th June 2023 having had a great lunch here many years ago. All out side seats were full so sat inside. Good menu didnt think the food was as good as previous. Was a bit pricey for what one got in comparison with other places.
