Lovely restaurant. I highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara; perfectly cooked pasta and the serving was just the right size. And I know that my friends loved the pizza.

We went here as we were recommended this restaurant by a family friend, unfortunately we left disappointed. When we arrived it felt a little like we were intruding and it wasn’t the warmest welcome in the world. We then browsed the menu (the world’s smallest menu) before ordering. We ordered 2 pizzas, 4 portions of chips and the carbonara. The food was actually delicious, however the portion sizes were fit for a child. We did ask the waitress whether we could possibly have some more carbonara to which she responded saying that “that was the standard portion size” before walking off without acknowledging any further.Bearing in mind the carbonara cost £14.95, it was two big tablespoonfuls of pasta. We went to the counter to ask for mayonnaise to accompany the chips. The waitress didn’t once come over and ask if the food was okay, whether we needed anymore drinks or whether we wanted the dessert menu, she didn’t even clear our table - we physically went up-to the bar to pay.So all in all I really wouldn’t return. Which is a shame as the food was actually lovely.

Great local place, good pizza, lovely staff, perfect stop off point on a road trip to catch some lunch, if you want Italian or pizza of course. But most of us can get by with that ?

Me and my partner previously visited and loved it, since the new menu change and refurb we’ve been desperate to go back and so glad we did, the atmosphere and food was excellent, last time I went I had the best carbonara I’ve ever had and I was really hoping for it again but it wasn’t on the menu (however he said it would be back on next week), after hearing me say the chef came out and told me he had the ingredients to make it for me even though it wasn’t advertised at the time! customer service at its finest. The food was amazing, dessert was lovely and the bill for the both of us with starters and mains including drinks was very reasonable, wishing this gentleman and his family the best for the future ?will definitely be going back!

Very small menu with only pasta and very few pizzas. Stater calamari tasted like out of a box with chewy inside and a lot of soggy batter. Well presented. Main was spaghetti Bolognese with overcooked pasta and sauce tasted overpowering like cheap red wine with cheap mince. Not impressed. Average priced. Good service and nice little restaurant.

We visited on a Tuesday evening in October half term. We were warmly greeted by the waitress and as it was fairly quiet, seated immediately. We had the anti pasti for two people to start - it was absolutely delicious! Fantastic flavours and a lot of it. For main meals we had the meatballs and the puttanesca which were both fabulous. Really cannot fault this lovely restaurant at all. Service and food were both great - we would highly recommend and will be back when we visit Holt again ?

Fantastic food!!! We had the vegetarian pizza which was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The chilli spaghetti dish with anchovies was delicious and would also work well with prawns. The kids menu had good options at a good price. My 4 yr old loved the spaghetti with tomato sauce, it was a smooth rich zingy tomato sauce which was very tasty.Portions were a good size and everything was reasonably priced.Great service by the staff, as we were seated a bottle of water was placed on the table, without us having to ask. Very thankful we were fitted in at late notice, after we had arrived at another restaurant and were not impressed with the menu options or £12 for a child’s sausage and chips!Highly recommend this place and will definitely return when we next visit Holt.

We managed to book a table during our recent stay, and we found it to be outstanding. We dined early in the evening so the restaurant wasn't full but that suited us.The food was great, especially the arancini starter. Would acknowledge what some people are saying in regard to some of the portion sizes, but wouldn't see it as a massive issue. The portions were more than adequate for us.Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent little Italian, simple menu and cooked very well. Husband & wife team very friendly and chatty despite being very busy. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Fabulous food; fabulous service; fabulous coffee; fabulous prices. Clearly, a very popular establishment as all other tables were booked and the phone didn’t stop ringing. We popped here on spec and will definitely return. A hidden gem!

We live about 45 minutes from Holt and it’s usually our ‘go to’ breakfast spot when we have a spare morning. Today we had a spare afternoon so we decided on a late lunch and this was our port of call. The food was top notch, spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi and a perfect pizza! To round it off, the coffee was A1! The staff were brilliant, Charlotte had the initial shock of looking after us then the baton was passed on to Kim with whom we discussed a wealth of local knowledge, (ask her where the man who invented the crossword is buried) she was indeed a gem! We now have a ‘go to’ lunch spot in Holt, great food, staff that make you feel welcome and an excellent cup of coffee, you couldn’t ask for more!
