Went on the recommendations of previous reviews and the sample menu on the pub's website.Starters were good, had char grilled steak skewer and thai crab cake.Mains were really underwhelming and pretty terrible to be honest, pulled pork bun. The bun was dry and not the best quality. The gherkin and tomato looked and tasted like they were 2 days old, limp and soggy. Pulled pork was just ok. The coleslaw on the side was a very small portion, but it was also very poor quality, so not a loss. The fries were the best thing about the main.We wont be going back.

Absolute disaster and disgraceful if it wasn't the fact I was eating out with my Grandson and Grandaughter and didn't want to spoil our evening after a wonderful day, I would have told the waiter that told me they served Al a carte! When I rang to enquire about the menu! What he should have said to be more closer to the truth! We were asked if we would like side plates and were left waiting and none arrived so we ate starters off the serving dishes, the menu was that limited and unimaginable plus expensive! I hope people only go there once otherwise it will only encourage them! The frozen chips were like bits of wood the so called Cole slaw a tiny slop in a tiny dish not a peice of green or tomato cut on the plate. The pulled pork we all picked through lack of choice, was in a burger bun, was served less attractive than a street vendor would for well over £100.

I loved the food and the service was amazing. Fish and chips was out of this world and loved the sorbet. I hope to come here again sometime soon!

We popped in for dinner on a Saturday night without a booking. Because we didn’t have a booking we were told it might be a wait for food… it wasn’t. Our food arrived 10-15mins after ordering and is some of the best pub grub I’ve had.We split the chicken schnitzel and burger. Absolutely loved their take on schnitzel and almost wish we hadn’t split it!Definitely worth a meal if you’re nearby

Three of us in our party ordered a fish meal which was well cooked and the portions were generous and the food was nicely presented. The service was patient and friendly and the pub garden is delightful to sit and eat on a warm evening. I would say it was good honest food and good value for money one of the better places to eat in this part of North Norfolk.

We stayed in the apartment above pub ( with our well behaved cocker spaniel) on last night decided to try pub & we were not disappointed! Booking is definitely recommended & we had excellent quality food all homemade freshly prepared. Chicken starter two perfectly cooked sirloins/plum bakewell & an elderflower jelly dessert. V friendly. From the outside this pub does not look busy & we did not hear upstairs but the pub was busy & advise booking. Very much a hidden gem. Plenty of parking. The pub is well behaved dog friendly but we did ask. There is a garden at the back with seating. We sat inside. The location is a village & it’s not far from Wells/Blakeney /Holkham/brancaster & Hunstanton. It is perfectly located central. Thank you.

We had an evening meal. It was good, and I would recommend it, but nothing particularly special. I had fish, chips and mushy peas.

We are lucky enough to have the Blue Bell as our local pub and when planning our wedding breakfast well, it was a no brainer. Tom and Adam helped us beforehand and on the day to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Our greatest thanks go to Mitch and the team in the kitchen though. The food was exceptional, really well presented, very generous portions (which led to a bit of a food coma if I'm honest as it was too good to leave!) and our guests were all equally as impressed and words like amazing, delicious, wow were being bandied around! Unfortunately we don't have many photos of the food as we were to busy eating - sorry! So, I urge you if you are ever in this area - book a table (oh, and no, I'm not on commission!!!)

Delicious Sunday roast, the belly pork was Delucious. Tender and sweet, veg was imaginative, roast pots crispy and gravy tasty. Staff were very welcoming and made our pup feel welcome too. No room for puddings sadly but they looked amazing too!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here last Saturday evening- the food was absolutely fantastic and completely exceeded our expectations. Lovely service too. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough, you will not be disappointed! Thank you!

We went for Sunday lunch and it was OK.We needed to wait a long time for the main course (roast beef, roast pork and fish n chips)... the food was OK but wasn't great. I think the chef was trying too hard to make something look nice, rather than put the effort into it tasting excellent. It seemed to have a strange smokey/burnt taste to the roast, like the chef has seared it in oil.The desserts were OK too... again, a little style over substance.Over all, decent pub food but not great.

Just had the best roast beef Sunday lunch I’ve had in ages (recommended to me as a local by a visiting London friend and they were right!) Super pink beef, well cooked and wonderful accompaniments from red cabbage to greens, roasted roots and cauliflower cheese. Lovely staff, nice old fashioned setting, really super thank you!
