Spent two nights in the Lawns Hotel for our anniversary. The room was large, and reasonably well furnished and clean. The on suite bathroom was large with a bath and bath tap shower but no screen or curtain to contain the spray if you preferred a shower. The room was on the top floor which was accessed via two very narrow staircases which made carrying the case to the room a bit of a task. Stayed for two nights. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is about to close for changes to be made and the bar was slightly depleted. The food was very good but menu was again slightly limited. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. I was surprised that our bedroom windows ( tilt & turn) didn’t have window restraints. It was however a very enjoyable stay in an excellent location.
Only went in for a coffee with the intention of going to stay later in the summer but being no food and having to go to another hotel for breakfast we won't be staying at the Lawns Rooms, but will go back for coffee
