We had a wonderful stay at the retreat whilst in Norfolk for a Voewood wedding. Jacqueline and Matthew were so welcoming and attentice, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - the breakfast is amazing and the little touches like the chocolates, biscuits and tea make it a perfect room to relax. The bed is also super comfy! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be booking again - thank you for having us ?

We stayed in The Lux cabin and it really was impressive. The owners are the perfect hosts. The cabin was immaculate and has plenty of space for two adults and a dog. There were so many little touches that made us feel really cared for. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to your cabin. This is located in a beautiful part of Norfolk and close to many beaches and country walks. We cannot recommend this cabin enough and would definitely return.

Matt and Jacqui were friendly and welcoming and couldn’t have done enough. Breakfast was very nice. Cabin was very cosy , setting was very peaceful and it was dog friendly with a secure garden, I highly recommended this place to explore Cromer, Sheringham and Holt etc

Stayed with my partner as we were attending a wedding in the area and Jacqueline and Matt made it an unforgettable experience - very kind and welcoming hosts, a beautiful location and fantastic breakfasts! We felt very welcome and really enjoyed exploring all the local area. There are plenty of accessible walks for a ramble, or cute little seaside towns an easy drive away. Will definitely be back!Rooms: Clean and beautifully presented, everything you could needNearby activities: Walks, local cafes and restaurants, pick your own farms and local landmarksFood & drinks: Excellent cooked breakfast!!

Stayed in the Lux Cabin for 3 nights to celebrate a dear friend's 50th birthday. The Cabin really was a "home away from home", the breakfast plentiful and the games room a treasure trove where some very happy memories were created. A special thanks to our wonderful hosts Jacqui and Matthew for their warm hospitality. Would highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again.

There is only one word to describe The Retreat Cabins....FANTASTIC!!!! From the warm welcome to the scrummy breakfast, to the little finishing touches. The whole experience is peaceful, relaxing and definitely the place to recharge your batteries. Additionally, nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly owners. Wonderful.

Perfect cosy, warm and welcoming cabins a short drive from Sheringham and Holt where your host cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. Attention to detail and a cracking breakfast (choose all or anything from cereals, toast to full English) and we had a fantastic girl’s weekend celebrating a ‘big’ birthday. Plenty to do around and about from forest and seafront walks, Sheringam’s Little Theatre, afternoon tea venues, pubs and ‘Norfolks best Sunday lunch’ (it was!!) all within easy reach. Or just relax in the cabin with a bottle or a cuppa and a book and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you need somewhere to stay in the area I totally recommend!

Great location, close to many of North Norfolk’s attractions. Jacqui and Matthew are great hosts and so friendly. If you want a relaxing break then I highly recommend The Retreat Cabins. I stayed in the Lux and it was just perfect. Fantastic breakfast, comfy bed, great shower with shower toiletries provided, chocolates, coffee machine ….. It really is lovely. You have your own outside space with countryside views too. Loved it.

Wonderful, relaxed hideaway. Our first time visiting the Norfolk coast was made extra special by Jacqueline and Matthew’s care and attention to detail.First, the Cabin… Out of the “Lux Cabin” or the “Cosy Cabin”, we chose the Cosy Cabin. Perfect distribution of space for 2 people with a very comfy bed at the end of a beautifully landscaped garden. Lots of small details made a big difference such as breakfast delivered to our room as standard, chocolates, wooden panelled walls and ceiling, warm lighting and a nice heater for the room. Wild pheasants were spotted meandering on the adjacent field.Next, the position…. For us it was perfectly situated to visit the neighbouring villages by car. We were able to follow the coast from Cromer to Wells Next-The-Sea in an afternoon, stopping for tea in Stiffkey. A walk in Sherringham Park was delightful, overlooking the coastline, heritage steam train and an old windmill in the distance. Finally, the hosts… Jacqueline and Matthew made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough to ensure that we were as pampered as possible during our stay. Breakfast was brought to our room on both days and we were asked the day before what we would like to eat and at what time. Before arrival, they recommended places to eat and advised us to book well in advance to ensure that we weren’t disappointed. During our stay, Matthew recommended some nice walks and cafes in the area too - all of which were perfect for us.Shame about the weather and cancelled boat trip to visit the seals - nothing to do with the Retreat Cabins of course. We’ve just arrived back home and already planning another stay. Next time, with the kids…

2 beautiful cabins in pretty gardens, surrounded by quiet fields with the perfect hosts. We have stayed with Jacqui and Matthew 4 times over the last few years. It's our most perfect place for a little recharge and relax.Cabins:We have stayed in both the luxury and cosy cabins, both equally lovely. We were greeted with a personalised welcome sign, many chocolates, fresh milk and water in the fridge. When it has been our birthdays Jacqui has gone above and beyond to make our stay extra special - balloons, banners, box of chocolates and a birthday card. The shower is powerful, the beds are comfortable and the cabins are warm. There is everything you could possibly need with so many extra little touches, they have thought of everything! Even including his and hers shower gels!Breakfast:Each morning we were served a fry up feast in our cabin. Delicious sausages, perfectly cooked eggs, tasty bacon, huge mushrooms, beans, grilled tomato, thickly cut toast, tea, coffee, fruit juice... and the choice of cereal!A great start to the day!Jacqui and Matthew were kind enough to allow us the use of "Matty's Pub" next door to the cosy cabin. The pub has music, TV, games, darts board and a fridge filled with drinks with an honesty box for payment. We spent many fun and memorable evenings playing darts.Everything is so well thought out, there was nothing we needed that wasn't available to us.We will of course return again soon, and would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a relaxing break.A perfect stay.

Jacqui and Matthew are really warm and wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to welcome you and make you feel pampered and rested. I stayed on my own in the Cosy cabin, tucked away from the road in a corner of their lovely big garden. They’ve really thought of everything, and the space was ideal for me. It has its own little side garden to bask in on warm days. The bed is super-comfortable, bedding and towels are top quality and beautifully freshly laundered - but nothing is so immaculate you’re too scared to touch it: they have that balance just right. The shower room is great, well-heated and ventilated. There’s a little sofa with tea corner, a dining table and relaxing lighting. And I got chocolates with my tea hamper! So many lovely thoughtful touches… Oh and everyone is right about breakfast: delicious and generous. With endless wonderful places to discover nearby, I can’t really recommend them highly enough for a totally relaxing break. Thank you for everything :o)
