As others have pointed out, the lady running this shop is rude. Also, she can't cope with any payment, apart from cash and is unable to reheat anything. We went in for two Cornish pasties, but came out with only one as my wife was not prepared to buy something from such an unpleasant person. She asked where we'd come from (presumably thinking we looked like southerners) and we told her that we are locals. Her attitude changed slightly for the better then, so it would appear that she's also 'anti-tourist'.The final note here is that I think she sold me a Cornish Nasty, as it didn't taste very good...

We stock up here about once a month. All of the food is lovely. The staff may not always look happy but they are busy and engage if you make an effort.Everyone we have introduced to the bakers love their products. Can recommend them highly

Opens 8.30 to 2.30 and longer in summer. Lovely Mrs Moss starts baking at 3am each morning. Fantastic pastries, sausage rolls, pasties and sandwiches. All terrific value and very tasty! Went every day!

We chose from a really large range of pastries. We bought sausage rolls, a Camembert tarte which would serve 4. Then scones, rocky road and another cake. The selection made an excellent lunch for my husband, me and my two grandchildren. Then four days later we went in again and got a similar range of pastries for us and my daughter who joined us. Super tasting and very reasonable prices. Well done cooks!

Wow a wonderful bakers - bought a huge baguette filled with chicken, salad and sweet chilli sauce £2! Also a large chicken and bacon pie for tea £3 was delicious and I’m tempted to buy soon for my freezer. Good value tasty homemade Fayre. Fabulous

Bought Jumbo Cheese and onion slice, cheese and onion, what little there was of it, was confined to one corner. Bought 4 mince pies - so little filling. Won't be going here again.

A lot like other comments, food is nice. And prices are good. However, the lady behind the counter is incredibly rude and when asked any questions was standoffish. She moaned that my family and I paid in notes. The lady didn’t have any manners. There was one last tuna mayo left and after our family lining up for a while, a gentlemen pushed the queue and the lady served him the last one. When I asked if there were more, she said no and scoffed. Would have spent more if she wasn’t so incredibly rude. I’m appalled and I definitely won’t be back.

Firstly, please note that this bakery ONLY takes CASH! No card payment?! Our 5 pasties were hot and fresh and good value for money. The woman serving lacked customer service. No smile, no hello, seemed totally fed up working there. We heard another couple outside the shop say exactly the same thing. Other than that, a nice little bakery and good value too.
