A very good place to stay staff very accommodating nothing to much trouble. English Breakfast very good.

Had a fabulous meal there last night. The food was cooked to perfection, the staff (including the chef) were wonderfully friendly and I highly recommend the Chequers Ale. Not your traditional pub food but if you are a foodie you need to try here! Thanks to Steve and the team!

We did not stay at the Inn overnight, but rather stopped by for an impromptu roast sirloin beef Sunday lunch. Very nice service from the bar staff and waitress as well as pleasant interior. The meat was very tender and cooked to perfection. The dish could have done with some more gravy and with no horseradish or mustard it was a little too dry going but the cauliflower cheese did help. Other than that it was very nice indeed. At £22 a dish each plus drinks, it wasn't cheap but was well worth it and the food was delivered very promptly. Thanks

I came for an overnight stay on Wednesday 15th and I was certainly not disappointed! What a beautiful hotel, in such an idyllic location on the North Norfolk Coast. I enjoyed the walk from the hotel up to Holme Dunes - the scenery was breathtaking. The hotel itself had a lovely atmosphere. My room was tastefully decorated, with excellent facilities and it was clear to me that the owners and staff take a lot of care in ensuring that their customers are able to stay in comfortable and welcoming surroundings. The staff were friendly and very happy to help. The breakfast was very enjoyable - very nicely cooked and presented, and I loved the comfortable dining area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit the North Norfolk Coast.

Very disappointing meal. Food was luke warm and served on cold plates. Medium to rare steak was over cooked and very small. No water on the table unless you ask for it. Seating uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend it .

We stayed at chequers over the jubilee weekend and for our first night we had dinner in the bar. We took our dogs down with us and we were joined by other residents and their dogs too. It was a very friendly and relaxed setting. The food was amazing. Very well presented and perfect portion sizes. We both had a starter and a main. We did ask about dessert but the menu never reappeared. The food is quite pricey but it is worth it. On a side note the breakfasts are also amazing.

This Inn is fantastic. Hidden gem in north Norfolk. A unbelievable quite beautiful beach within walking distance((not supposed to talk about it). My room was amazing and the staff were so nice and could not be more helpful. Absolutely no complaints at all.

Came for a few days away for our anniversary and a first break since Covid. Great location, nice decor and warm welcome. Had the least expensive of the rooms, but have to say very disappointed. Room so small can only get in or out of the bed on one side, a few hangers for clothes and no drawers so living out of a suitcase. Ok for an overnighter but not if staying a few days. Bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep in ... and I am used to camping! Dinner was ok but expensive, nice waitress but slow service as not enough staff. Other diners walked out, candles on tables not lit, limited menu if vegetarian. People in the room above very noisy until around 10.30 pm. Room faced the road so not relaxing and needed to keep the blind closed at all times for privacy as overlooked. Definitely style over substance.

This place is just amazing! The rooms are beautifully finished with lots of the little extras that make it feel really special. The whole place feels like it's only just been refurbished and it's filled with high end goods!Welcoming reception who take you to your room.Great cozy bar and lounge area. The restraint however is something else with an open serving area allowing you to see the chefs work. Amazing. And the food was simply delicious!

Wonderful location for visiting Norfolk coast. Staff throughout our stay were excellent, friendly and helpful. Food at dinner and breakfast was very very good. All round a short (overnight) but really enjoyable stay. Will be back next time we are in the area.

Went in last week, great reuben sandwich, nice seating out front whilst the weather was still good, decent beers on tap. Could just do with extra staff at points to speed up bar service but I’m aware so could most of the hospitality industry and they had a sign looking for extra staff so this was all fine. Very friendly bar lady, will visit again soon to check out the rest of the menu
