The pub wasn’t particularly busy and there were 3-4 people behind the bar, but we still waited about 20minutes at the bar before we got our drinks.

Low score for food only because there is no vegan or vegetarian option for breakfast which is quite shocking these days, I did notice a few options on the main menu however. Otherwise it's a beautiful location and staff are great.

Had an early evening meal, dog friendly area, very quiet. Food ok. We ordered another drink and it was brought to our table, our table was stacked with empty plates and dishes empty glasses but the server just left them in front of us!!!! Weird...Log fire wasn't lit and was a chilly evening even though not many customers. Shame.Vegetarian options: No vegan choices on the festive menu ?

One of our favourite places to stop and have a drink after a walk along the sea front. Historical with great views from the garden of the sea and very accessible to walk down to the beautiful beach and sand dunes. Been here since a child and one of my favourite places to

Service was great, food ok but our evening was spoiled because the room was so cold, I couldn’t take my coat off. We would have had dessert but couldn’t wait to leave so that we could get warm. Such a shame.

Excellent always warm welcome from staff. Excellent food. Definitely recommend a visit. ??

Ordered food (a burger and a lasagna) it literally came within 5mins so clearly pre-made and reheated in microwave. Burger looked and tasted like one you'd buy at a fun fair greasy mobile chip wagon. Tried our luck on desserts (a waffle and apple crumble with custard.) The apple crumble was cold. Took it back to the bar who said we'd receive a replacement (no apology.) 'Replacement' arrived instantly only to be the first one that had obviously been bunged into a microwave and then returned to me (with a glorious skin on the custard.) Another trip to the bar with the bowl and insisted on a refund. The woman did not seem particularly bothered and offered a half hearted apology whilst giving me my refund. All staff were pretty scruffy in appearance and barely spoke and lacked any kind of enthusiasm. Very dissatisfied and would NOT recommend!

Often pop in here when walking the dog on the beach. Avoid the tourist season though unless prepared for a wait!

Went for a lunch after a walk on the beach. The staff were very helpful and welcoming to both us and our dog who was with us. The food was very good and I can recommend the Steak and Ale pie ?. The open fire was lovely and very relaxing. We will return.

During the week there is always plenty of tables available. The food is great especially the gammon and the fish pie. The 5 of us all enjoy coming here and will always return
