So glad we managed to get a table for Sunday roast at this great dog friendly venue. An historic pub in a great location next door to the beautiful Grade I 13th century Church of All Saints (worth a visit). The roast was fantastic! And the sharing dessert was a Candy floss dream (had to get a takeaway box!) Great selection of alcohol free wine, and a doggy menu! May even make a second visit on our 1 week holiday, it was THAT good!Nearby activities: Grade I church, lovely historic village, the Lifeboat Inn (beautiful old inn also good shopping at the Thornham deli for lifestyle, clothing, gifts and local food to take home and Drove Orchards, lovely ladies clothes retail, food outlets and don't miss the vintage/antiques, art gallery and ice cream parlour and the back of the estate!

Hotel food, staff and cleanliness all rated excellent. Rooms clean and tidy. Recommend the food - dinner and breakfast was tasty. Staff very helpful and polite.HOWEVER, the room "Bloomer" was like grand central station. The room was on ground floor, but residents from another room above, could be heard going up and down stairs and also walking around. Avoid this room if looking for a quiet evening. The footsteps and noise was that much I think it even registered on my personal Fitbit. Avoid this room at all costs.Rooms: Avoid the "Bloomer" room. Very noisy with neighbours walking up and down stairs, walking around above the bedroom. Just too noisy to be acceptable. Had I had somewhere else to go that evening, I would have checked out at 2330hrs because of noise. I was assured it would be better the following night as those particular residents had departed. There was NO change - far too noisy.Food & drinks: The portions, flavour, taste and presentation was excellent. Compliments to the chef. Could not fault the evening meals and the breakfasts were sufficient and plentiful.

Some absolutely sensational food!We stayed for two nights, staff were really welcoming and helpful, especially Dan.Rooms were clean and spacious with a great in room bath, they are dog friendly too. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a variety of continental options.Restaurant has two sections, bar and restaurant. Bar is dog friendly but lacks places to just have a drink.

The food was excellent 5 Star. All the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it to anyone. The OT will offer you the best in class restaurant, bar and rooms. Fantastic food, great staff and a good location make this a brilliant place to stay. Our courtyard room was a squeeze for a family of four but perfectly liveable for a four night stay. Very dog friendly and lovely, helpful staff. Breakfast very well done, setting you up nicely for a day walking along beaches, around local nature reserves or the Sandringham Estate.

Wednesday after Christmas. Visited again for lunch ,having been here in the summer. Fabulous food and service once more in a welcoming atmosphere. The Catch of the Day is a real treat. Coeliac heaven. Thank you. The staff are fabulous. Highly recommended.
