We spent one night in a mezzanine bedroom. Such a comfortable room, lovely pillows, fresh milk for our tea and a very nice bathroom. The place is super full of all sorts of things to look at and I can imagine it might feel a bit overwhelming for some but we loved it. Lottie the dog was a delightful addition to the place, such a sweetie pie. We were attending a wedding nearby at Pentney Abbey & stayed for two nights at The Chalk & Cheese. Wow, what a find! So quirky & unique. The old school house is a beautiful building which owner Bridget has decorated with antiques & curiosities that can also be found in her antique shop next door. Husband Andrew went above & beyond to cook us a totally vegan breakfast, they even made sure we had a plant based butter for our toast. The service was efficient friendly warm accommodating. A charming place, full of character. Tailor made service accommodating all our needs in every way. We would definitely return and recommend this for a unique experience
