Lovely inside. Food is great with large portions. Locally brewed lager is beautiful. Reasonably priced.

Amazing place for a family brunch for 5 with 2 big dogs. So friendly, brilliant service and delicious food! Everyone’s meals were delicious but special mention for the fish platter (order in advance) and the kippers!

Great to see a pub done up like this, food was incredible and clearly had been thought out and prepared carefully. Brilliant atmosphere, will definitely return.

Thank you for a lovely breakfast and for making Harleston Running Club so welcome. Delicious food and lovely service in great surroundings- perfect way to finish off our run. Sorry we forgot to take photos.

Came here a few weeks back and was really nice. Piano player playing music at midday. Card games on the table and the coffee was lovely. We did not eat here but saw someone's food being delivered and looked amazing. The staff were really helpful and lovely. Defiantly recommend.

Jo and Frank are extremely welcoming and skilfully introduce all the patrons to each other, which has culminated in The Angel becoming a true community hub. The best real ale and beer selection in Loddon IMO and seems like the local pub and brewery owners agree because they all seem to drink here ;)

This is a pub you can enter not knowing anyone and leave with new friends, Jo, knows the names of all her patrons, the service, knowledge and atmosphere is lovely. The food, wow, the food is amazing, pre-order because Frank's ethos of local, small sourced supply takes time and is admirable, his artistically presented platters and his amazing boards are a must. Enjoy your visit.

What an amazing breakfast!! Best I have had ever. Frank and Jo husband and wife team are so accommodating. Pub is so refreshing, offering artisan beers, wines, ciders and juices. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back for Franks scones. If you are near Loddon pop in. You won’t be disappointed!

Nice people but not welcoming for thosewho just want a "normal" pintNov 2023Went in for a pint on a Thursday eveningOnly other customers were 3 old men atthe bar with one droning on and on aboutowning a boat.Doesn't sell beers you have ever heardof so asked for whatever was closest toa normal named larger. Was given somehorrible "craft" lager which I gave up orafter about 3 mouth fulls.Lady at the bar seemed nice. Decor a bitodd...one long table with not much spacefor legs in the main sitting areaWas going to try the breakfast anotherday but the pricing is ludicrous.l'mguessing that someone like me who justwants a normal pint (l.e. a reliable brand i've heard of) isn't really welcome at thispub as they are looking for the "real ale, middle age cycle riding artisan crowd" Ihope there is enough of them to keep itgoing but I would recommend any of thethree other pubs in the village over thisone.
