“Been coming here on and off for a a few months now (usually when the weather is anti motorcycle)
Originally reviewed before I changed my Google Account, but its time to update it anyway.
Myself and a friend come to play pool on a friday night, its not the quietest of places but its a friendly atmosphere. The sounds of people having fun rather than anything else.
The pool prices are pretty reasonable and been going enough that I am now a gold member, so a nice discount when booked online. We initially had an issue with online booking, giving us the wrong table but Rileys have fixed that a while back. Dirnks can be a bit pricey, but that is more a sign of the times.
Only issue I have faced is the coffee can be hit or miss, sometimes they have not had sugar. I have a suspicion that I may be one of the very few that has a coffee while playing lol.
My friend has never complained about his drink so take that as a good sign. I am yet to have food there (awkward to eat and play pool), but it does smell delicious when others have had some.
Staff are all happy and friendly, do not think I have ever seen any of them looking anything but cheerful. (not sure my customers can say the same thing some days !)
It remains one my favorite places to go.”

“I went here for afternoon tea, just looking for a vegan cafe while travelling. Didn’t know it was also a board games cafe until I got there. A nice surprise, and boy did it look well kitted-out for it! Shelves and shelves of games to play off the shelf while you eat, and a decent amount of games for sale there, too.
The food was excellent. I just had the chicken wrap (a lunch menu item) which was brilliant and refreshing on the hot summer day. They also did a peach iced tea special drink which also really hit the spot. Oh, and a little tub of premade vegan chocolate ice cream, which was delish!
The rest of the menu looked amazing. I might have to sneak back here for dinner before I leave the city in a few days… ?
The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and chill. Clearly a very accepting and friendly place to be. The bathrooms were gender neutral.
Edit: I went back for another lunch, going for the main menu, trying the imitation beef burger, with some chips, a spider, and finishing with the — deep fried Oreos! Never seen that on a menu, before! It’s exactly what it sounds like. Not bad. ?
The food was amazing, but the service was a bit confusing. I thought it was all table service, but the man who sat me down didn’t come back to take my order, so after waiting a while, I went to order at the bar. Maybe just a weird day or caught them at a bad time. They were otherwise great and let me customise my burger by adding gherkins. (I was also a bit stressed for time that day, so I may have overestimated how long I was waiting for service.)”

“Visisted here for the first time this evening with my partner and 3 friends and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food. The menu is quite small but when the meals arrived they looked fantastic! The onion rings were amazing, home made but not too greasy and fried in a lovely batter. The chips and mushrooms were also really good! One friend had the chicken and stuffing pie from the specials board which he was very impressed with. Another one of my friends ordered the banoffee cheesecake and WOW that looked incredible. It was home made and he said you could really tell, he said it was one of the best cheesecakes he's ever had. The rest of us were all drooling over it wishing we had ordered one! Definetly must try the cheesecake next time. Service was quite slow but the food was worth the wait. The older guy working behind the bar was really nice to talk to, despite being new to visiting this pub and not one of the regulars, he was friendly and happy to engage in conversation, making jokes and being really warm which was lovely. It was a shame so many wasps and flies kept coming in (4 wasps in total just in the time we were there) which I can only assume might be because the doors are left wid open. Not really a criticism of the staff as I understand in summer it gets warm but maybe some fly/wap nets would be a good investment for hygiene but mostly comfort of customers. Really lovely setting overlooking the water. Hope to return again in the future.”

“I doubt you'll find a better or more reasonably priced Sunday roast in Norwich then here. No frills but a cosy, atmospheric pub with enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming staff. And a very good range of ales. A pub you feel very much at home in.”

“Have dined at the old feathers a few times and the quality is always amazing! The staff were courteous, friendly and went above and beyond! We dined here tonight for a 60th birthday meal and the staff went to the extra effort of laying out the table with decorations and ensuring it looked perfect. The food was incredible!!”
