Security guards at the mostImmature and drug infused people I’ve ever met, staff behind bar lovely ! However self entitled egotistical security really poor quality of service!

A lovely old pub with a great ale selection, most of which is presented as guest beer festival style, and an excellent outdoor area. The bar areas are comfortable and well appointed with a nice clientèle.However, the only thing that did ruin it for us (and this was mid afternoon so I don't know what evenings are like) was the loud mtv style music peppered with incessant adverts. Absolutely dreadful! We went to sit outside but obviously that isn't a long term solution in what is otherwise a very respectable local.

Got groped by a dirty middle aged man at the bar and the bar staff completely ignored the situation. Not one word said to me or the man involved. Embarrassing behaviour. So if your a girl and want to know the bar staff will help and support you if you’re in a dangerous/uncomfortable situation with a man, do not go to this pub.

Read the views and I go here often. Had to write my own.Great selection of ales give or take £3 to £4. Plus usuals on pump. I can have 4 pints out for less than £20 not many pubs you can do that now Definitely compete with weatherspoons.Great size beer garden. NO restaurant but means can bring own - pizza, chips, picnic in beer garden etc. What you save on food you can spend on more drink....OK just me lolLocal community pub. Unofficial food bank and helps Ukraine etc Even local white fluffy cat joins you for drink some days lolAlso dog friendly.Large selection of tvs for sporting events. All you have to do is ask if they are showing event and they will tell you.Music (not live music)Popular quiz night on a Monday. As with any popular pub can get busy might not get served quick all the time but will get served as quick as they can. They have two bars.ID on door (if you young enough lol) with security for safety. But never seen and issue (the security presence does its job)Kid-friendliness: My son is sensitive to noise. Took him one Saturday as charity event at pub. He was relax and comfortable. Had walk around etc. He loved taking pics of the flowers in beer garden. While I had a pint. It was win-winWheelchair accessibility: Gentle ramp to get pub. They will open/extend doors to make wider if need be

I thoroughly recommend anyone in the Norwich area to give this pub a go, especially if you love real ales and ciders.

Luv this pub & go often but went in there on Sun 23rd July 3 to 4pm ish, had a pint of Old Peculiar ( to be fair most real ales good in here ) but this was a flat as a witches t.t so I took it back to the blonde girl who originally served me & conveyed it wasn’t right so I ordered a pint of Guinness & she charged me fully for this even thou I left the almost the full pint of old peculiar at the bar, such a shame as not good customer service so we won’t return as yet ?
