“This is not a food review first off. I pop in here (afternoons) whenever I am in the area as the beer is superb, Lacons Cove today straight from the cask was really well kept and very refreshing. The building is beautiful with its nooks and crannies, winding corridors huge fire places and timber frames. The service can be a little frosty at times to be honest but there are some friendly staff too, just depends who’s on. Where i stay up this way there are two other pubs nearer but I always prefer the few miles drive to come here, the pull of a good pint :)”
