It had been some time since we returned to the area and thought we’d call in so it was nice to see the pub still as we remembered it but it’s had a lick of paint recently. The building is full of character with its timber frame still visible in the pub’s various rooms. The evening bar staff were very friendly and the beer was excellent. They had been wiped out of much on the menu following Mothering Sunday so the the fish of the day was scampi but served well and tasty....read full review

Just went in for a valentines meal. Lovely pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly! delicious food and very welcoming and attentive staff. Complements to the chef, the Brie starter was lovely and my ribeye steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Delicious food and nice ale! We had three vegans and a meat eater in our party and were all extremely satisfied! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the sausages were incredibly meat-like and deliciously seasoned! Really well worth a visit!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options for starters and mains, we had vegan sausages and mash, vegan chicken and mushroom pie, and vegan baked potato, all of which we recommend!
