I took my husband away for his birthday at the weekend. We were welcomed by a lovely young lady. Who couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. We stay in a room in the stables, it was very clean and had everything you need apart from a fan as there was only a small window. Breakfast was dissjointed with parts of our breakfast arriving at different times, but tasted lovely. Would highly recommend it. Best of all it was dog friendly throughout.

Fantastic vegetarian take on fish & chips, beer battered halloumi and the mushy peas were full of flavour. The best dining out experience this year. Well worth a visit. Excellent ?

Looks like a nice pub but understaffed. I ordered our drinks on entry and we sat in the garden. I went back in to order some food and queued for 10 minutes as there was only one lady serving drinks and taking food orders. When I tried to order, both of our selections had sold out, so went back outside to get alternative choices. When I went back to order, the queue was longer than before. We finished our drinks and left without ordering food.None of the other pubs seemed to struggle with staff numbers, so not sure what the issue is in there.

Nice pub, lots of outside space to sit. Dogs welcome inside and out. While the food is pricey the portions were very good so it still worked out as decent value. The ribs were very good and while they initially forgot the chips once pointed out the brought out a full portion to apologise. The SF chicken burger was good and the scampi and chips where too.The stand out was the chicken loaded fries which were excellent. They had an 3 ales to choose from as well as some real ciders. On top of the usual on tap choices.

We had a great break over a long week-end. The room was large and well-equipped, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the pub food was nice too. This was a busy week-end with a folk festival going on. Tents over the car-parks limited space, but this was a result of Covid nonsense, not the pub's fault. It worked well for when a lot of the folk festival people were there too. The only minor issue was having to ask for loo roll, tea-bags etc because they don't service the rooms daily, although this is probably reflected in the price. It's in a great location and dog-friendly, although the beaches aren't, so taking the dog for a walk wasn't easy, but that's a council issue. Overall, we really liked the Lobster. Great stay!

Had some awesome food here with the fam, was served by two lovely lady's Sam and Amelia who we're very friendly and bubbly and massively helpful. Food was absolutely gorgeous so ended up going back 3 days in a row lmfao. Well worth a stop off with plenty of seating and very reasonably priced food for the portion sizes that you receive. Will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely great pub with food. Didn't eat but a brilliant menu and looked good. Fab atmosphere, beers and staff and the marquee adds an extra dimension in especially this festival weekend! Thanks to all involved

Good food - Great Beer - Nice yard outside to sit in.Thought the sausages on the kids menu (whilst very good quality) were a little rich for young children.Would definitely go next time in town.

Had baked crab, but it was so small it should have been thrown back in sea. Plate of chips and salad LEAFS (one slice of tomatoes and 2 slices of cucumber) what a rip off!

This pub may be dog friendly but they are certainly not Celiac friendly ! They Refused to serve me food because I am Celiac, I felt like a lepper, all I wanted was a crab salad ! I assured the five other people I was with it was fine for them to go ahead & eat, I would get something on the lovely couples Joyful Wests Shellfish Bar outside ! I personally do not recommend this Establishment.

Had to wait too long for food. Ordered crab sandwiches and the bread was pretty dry and not fresh and the crab filling was nowhere near the best I’ve had. The staff were pretty nice but didn’t seem to know what they were doing. It took so long to get get our food that we had to leave some and return to our parking.

We booked this accommodation several months in advance as part of a cycling trip round Norfolk. We thought we'd treat ourselves to a nice hotel after a long day cycling and were bitterly disappointed. When we booked we were told we would have Room 12 - got there and we were given Room 3 as the only one left and we could hear the staff chatting about how people who had arrived before us moved to the room we had originally booked so we assume that room 12 was in the separate refubished building. Our room bore no resemblance at all to the photos, it was immediately above the bar overlooking the high street so very noisy and very small. Tiny shower and hot water was intermittent. We were also advised there was secure bike storage which turned out to be locking our bikes in the courtyard which would be locked at closing time or putting them in the kitchen - not ideal for the catering staff.. The room was small, stuffy and dated but clean. Would not recommend - if we could have found somewhere else to stay we would have left. We made our views known to the staff but no offer of compensation or apology for £120 a night I would have expected so much better especially based on the website photos and when I mentioned that was told "well it does include breakfast".

Very friendly staff, helpful and nothing too much for them. Nice outside area and another covered outside area. Dogs welcome inside and outside. Dog bowls for water. Fresh crab and mussels are delicious. The food was very nice - some typical pub food. Prices for the food were in line with other places to eat. Breakfast very good. Our cottage was perfect. Clean and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Dogs welcome in the accommodation. Very well placed. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Some parking if you stay here but first come first served. Thank you for a great stay.

Order stake and chips with nothing on it and tomato, when it came it hap pepper all over it and no tomato.Sent it back and finally got a new one in the meantime my partner had finished her meal. Why did I get charged for all the things i didn't want (mushrooms, onion rings, salad ) and the one thing i did want they left off ?I know that they were busy and the bar staff were very good and took down my order and read it back to me.Chefs STOP putting stuff on the food as what are condiments for that should be on the table for the customer to put on themselves!!!!!
