We went for the Burn’s night pies and wow is all we can say. The pastry so light I had The haggis pie and my husband had the venison pie. The lightest pastry encased pies packed full were simply delicious served with a choice of gravy, sauce and the veg perfect. My only comment would be to have the fire in the dining area lit for that real cosy pub feeling.

We have now stayed here on two occasions and are very impressed with the accommodation and the welcoming staff. Our room was quite large but it stayed warm despite the time of year. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. We ate twice at the hotel during our four night stay and were impressed with the quality of the food. There were few people in the pub when we were eating which took away some of the atmosphere that there might have been but there was a roaring fire to keep us company. Our only complaint was the cost of a glass of wine: that did not compare favourably with other pubs and restaurants that we visited in the locality.

Great food ,great service and a very enjoyable evening. The only thing I would improve is the lighting and ambience - it was a bit bright

Lived in the area for my whole life and had never been before, I've been missing out! Whole menu is full of quality pub food, the curry I had was amazing, as was the pie and sausage and mash my company had. Can't recommend enough!!!

Booked the Wheatsheaf for Sunday Lunch to give it a try as we'd never been before. Atmosphere was typically "pub" which was nice. We ordered Traditional Sunday Lunches - one Beef & one Lamb. The Beef was good but the Lamb was well overcooked. The worst part was the roast potatoes and the poor selection of vegetables - cabbage and carrots. I don't know when they had been cooked but the potatoes and carrots were dried out and had a skin, typical of being sitting under a hot lamp. For £21 and £19 for a main course, I would have expected something better.

We had a 2 night stay 27th to 29th October and what a superb find . Hospitality was first class, very attentive, food better than excellent, room spotless, everything first class. Great bar / restaurant, great atmosphere, the fab friendly bar staff. We would have no problem in revisiting or recommeding,

We had booked an evening meal after a recommendation from the owners of our accommodation. We booked a table, for ourselves (a couple) and our two dogs, and had a pleasant greeting. We ordered the special, very enjoyable ribs, and venison sausages with mash. Both meals were very tasty and plentiful. We would highly recommend this pub.

We've passed the signs many times on our travels between home, Fakenham and Cromer and today decided to drop in for lunch and we we're not disappointed.Great food and very friendly and helpful service. We went for the fish and chips and the fish or rather fishes, there were two, was so fresh and absolutely delicious.Definitely worth the 'diversion'.....
The best pizza I have ever had. Don't be tempted to order one each.....you'll never make it!! Really nice pub. Friendly staff and they have music on Friday evenings.

Four of us, one a Grandchild, decided to try this eatery and we were very disappointed. The crispy chicken was overdone, close to burnt. The coleslaw was limp and did not have a great taste. All this for, I believe, a high price. Our Grandchilds meal consisted of chicken pieces and chips for £10. No peas, no anything else. A bit pricey we thought. No one came to ask if the meal was OK - probably a good job!Should have sent most of it back but like so many places, replacements take time and then you all eat out of syncOverall a very ordinary and disappointing mealWr will not be going back and I am sure those who read this review can find some better quality at the prices elsewhere.

Had a job for 2 weeks at Weybourne works station and had the pleasure to stay here for the full 2 week. Rooms very clean and comfortable food was very nice with great position ?? the chefs there are great and friendly. The bar staff are fantastic as I was by myself made me feel at home and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Thinking off bringing my family for a short stay.

Huge portions and very tender meat. We were warned the lamb was pink, which was ok for us. Everything was very nice but I did feel the £11.50 for a child’s meal was too much especially as one of our children is only two, and the waitress knew this. She didn’t tell us how big the meals would be and one between the two would have sufficed, as they were huge. However, we all enjoyed it and we would return.

Stayed here recently for a long weekend. Cannot fault the place, staff, food, room all wonderful. Will certainly be back, thank you to all at the Wheatsheaf.
