We have now stayed here on two occasions and are very impressed with the accommodation and the welcoming staff. Our room was quite large but it stayed warm despite the time of year. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. We ate twice at the hotel during our four night stay and were impressed with the quality of the food. Lived in the area for my whole life and had never been before, I've been missing out! Whole menu is full of quality pub food, the curry I had was amazing, as was the pie and sausage and mash my company had. Can't recommend enough!!!

We went for the Burn’s night pies and wow is all we can say. The pastry so light I had The haggis pie and my husband had the venison pie. The lightest pastry encased pies packed full were simply delicious served with a choice of gravy, sauce and the veg perfect. My only comment would be to have the fire in the dining area lit for that real cosy pub feeling.
