Awful place, sometimes open but mostly not. Cold in winter and the management are unbelievable rude. Such a waste they need to hand it to someone who cares.

Visited this afternoon on our holiday with our twin girls and two dogs! Very friendly service and welcomed us all.Shame it was quiet for Easter weekend, but worked a great for us as the girls and dogs could play in the garden completely free. Imagine this place could be amazing in the summer especially!

Visited yesterday, it's such a shame this pub is so run down, would have great potential as its the only pub in the village.

This pub is a real hit and miss. We want to use it more but have been in various occasions for food and they are not serving. This is frustrating as we want a nice reliable food location locally. I appreciate it’s often due to health issues but never less a real shame.

Went into this place hoping to get some good. The friendly man behind the bar informed me that they no longer serve food. The place did look somewhat tired so it was a relief to be able to leave without causing offence. It looked in need of some love and invested.

Several times we have enquired whether the pub is serving food and have been told No because Paula is ill. On one occasion they said “No we are not serving food today as Paula has diarrhoea and cannot be near food” it was a bit too much information but even so maybe a relief chef would allow consistency. We went another time as a big group of 8 and table was booked for 7:30 but didn’t actually sit down until 8:30 and we had children. When food was served coleslaw was missing and steak knife was missing. The conservatory area was cold I recall on another occasion when we had a roast there which made food go cold quick. It’s not a place I could rely on whole heartedly for food because in my experience it has been so unpredictable.

Caught up with friends on a Saturday afternoon. Quiet early on but picked up later on. Reasonably priced drinks. Has Sky &BT sports.
