Absolutely amazing place, we booked 2 nights here and had to travel from Surrey and left off after work, at 9 pm as we were on our way and got diverted due to road closure they rang me and asked roughly what time we would arrive and I said about the diversion and the staff were amazing saying that they would leave key with instructions in a certain place for us if they were shut by time we get there and asked us if we would like some sandwiches made up for when we get there, the rooms, the food and the staff are amazing, highly recommend and will definitely be booking here again in future ? ?

Hello. We have stayed for a number of nights in the last month whilst working in the area. The food and hospitality are excellent. The staff very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are OK but would benefit from an update. It is a shame, as we have booked to stay elsewhere next week because of this. If the pub and restaurant is all you are after, then you wont find better in the area. Thanks.

Went for breakfast, with a party of 5 all eggs were hard not runny, one member had bacon and egg rolls served on a toasted bun with hard eggs and rubbery bacon. Returned the next day for an evening meal thinking they maybe had a bad day in the kitchen only to be disappointed again, the garlic mushroom were still frozen in the middle and the chip were partially cooked, pasta seemed the only thing was cooked from scratch but lacked flavour.

A really pleasant lunch. Popped in with friends who had some dietary needs and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Good food reasonably priced, good beers and a nice rural atmosphere.

Popped in for lunch after a firm recommendation from a colleague. Definitely not dissapointed.Wonderful food, welcoming friendly staff and the Ale was on point also. Can't wait to return. The turkey, stuffing and cranberry pie sounds divine!!!.

We were welcomed by the host, as we entered the 300 year old public house for breakfast which sustained us until a late lunch. The coffee & juice were both fresh & the coffee hot. Our choice of breakfast was not long coming hot, fresh & enticingly put together on our plates. We have The Swan saved in our sat-nav for our return.

The Swan Inn is a tradition pub with rooms above the bar and restaurant. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and both booking and booking in went very smooth. The room was large with adequate heating, tea and coffee facilities and a sitting area. Our room and bathroom were clean with adequate towels and bedding. There was a good wifi signal, capable of supporting streaming, voip calls etc. There is ample of road parking to the front and rear of the pub. The restaurant has a good choice of food with different fare to your standard pub food. Reservations are advised. Breakfast is not included and is not a set price but you pay for what you eat, with three different sizes of cooked breakfast plus other choices. No desk. Water pressure and hence temperature of shower is erratic.

Excellent food and drink. Friendly service. No rating for rooms because we've only had drinks and meals there. Highly recommended.

Had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic Vegetarian/Vegan options. Way more choice than what would usually be found in this kind of country pub in Norfolk. Would definitely recommend. Lovely staff too. In Thetford forest so perfect to have an explore before or after eating there.

Yesterday I went with a friend for a meal. A good selection of food on menu. We enjoyed the meal. The lady who served us was very polite and helpful.

I am a regular at the Swan. Personally booked table 1 with the owner/ manager two weeks ago for friends celebration last night, 10th June. Arrived on time and table occupied by four people! No reserved sign evident. These people could have been seated in several other tables which were in fact unoccupied when we arrived. We waited a further 30 minutes for our reserved table, to no avail, before leaving. If regulars are treated this way, then will be a regular elsewhere! I will not revisit! There are plenty of good pubs that always treat their customers much better.
