Fabulous friendly place open to all. Great vegan menu with a delicious vegan key lime pie and onion ring tree! Very dog friendly with their own menu and bowls available. Lovely friendly owner, thank you for the pie, we'll be back for more! Quiz nights Thursday night as well as a buffet Indian food with 4 different curries!Live this place!

We are staying in the area and decided to come here for food. All the bar staff were very welcoming, big variety of food & drink, clean & comfortable environment. The food was really nice! And reasonably priced. But if I was being picky the burger buns were slightly dry so did add my own sauce! Will be back again:)

I wanted a dog friendly pub and that's what I got. My dog was greeted with treats and a bowl of water was put out for him. There was a doggy menu. We chose the chicken, veg and gravy which went down very well. The staff and customers came and chatted with my dog too.The human menu was pub grub, hot and tasty. Definitely recommend if you have a dog.

This is a great pub for food and drink, but the service has got to be the worst that I've had! It use to be ok, but for the last few times that we've been here, I was standing at the bar being completely ignored by all of the staff especially by the woman with the tattoo's on her forehead!!!! She's so rude and it's not the first time, all she does it chat and moan about her job with the staff. Oh what, they are so lucky that I never started on em as they would of so regretted it big time, but I just behaved meself for a change and I'm telling you I will definitely will not return!! Go to the Greyhound across the road, the staff have respect and a laugh and don't ignore or give you dirty looks like the White Hart!!!! Ok I'm replying now (to The White Hart) and the date was the 16th on a Sunday in the afternoon and you can see me standing there like a complete donut with your complete useless staff. When the landlords are on seen, then all is good and they seem really nice, but the staff are useless!

Went for lunch in this pub but never again. Drinks arrived quickly but had to go find someone to order our food as no one came to take the order. Ordered hunters chicken which took a very very long time to come (even had to ask where our food was) when it did arrive it looked like it was lasagne when it arrived. It was swimming in barbecue sauce & cheese which was also covered in so many herbs i had to peel back the layers to get to the tiny piece of chicken. It was clearly not made by a chef. I've ordered this dish multiple times all over the country from different places & it's never looked or been this bad, I actually didn't finish it & I didn't finish my Pepsi either (which by the way was definitely not pepsi) The place was so dull, drab & run down with a mix match of furniture that needed to be thrown out. It just looked like it hadn't been decorated in decades. The service was very poor from start to finish. Was not impressed at all.

If I could give a zero or minus star rating I would. Where to start?1 interior - it is very tired with wallpaper coming off the wall, it actually reminded me of the interior of old CIU working mens clubs from the North of England in the 1970's and it was awful then.2 service - quite slow, drinks were ordered and delivered quite quickly but our food order not so good. I expected a server to come to our table to take our order but that didn't happen I had to go and find her to place the order. It took so long for the food to come, we were halfway through our drinks and I had to ask where the food was.3 food - we ordered 2 hunters chicken dishes and 1 gammon dish. When the hunter's chicken arrived I had to ask what it was. It was served in a small lasagne dish and actually looked like lasagne. It was swimming in barbecue sauce topped with a very thick layer of cheese that had a thick coating of herbs on top. The chicken was the smallest chicken breast I have ever seen in a 'hunter's chicken' dish. We have had hunter's chicken many times before in all area's of the UK but never have we seen or been served one like this. No real chef would be happy with this. Thegammon slice was large and thick but also very fatty with bone and gristle still there, it was not very nice. The best thing on the plate was the sweet potato fries but then again it's hard to spoil them.We actually left half of the food which is something we have never done before.I was asked how the food was and I said not very good and have had much better, but they didn't ask what the issue was.We will never go there again

When we ordered our meals I asked what smothered chicken entailed & the girl didn't have a clue but didn't go and find out she just shrugged and told me it was smothered chicken!!!!! Then we waited around 45 minutes for it to come after my husband asked about it. They also forgot the salad as well. But it wasn't even very busy in pub.

Very very dog friendly with their own doggie menu.Look, this isn't fine dining, but the food is good honest pub grub served by friendly staff. It's not a traditional old oak pub, so environment isn't for everyone, but you're missing out if you are a dog owner and eat anywhere else in Swaffham.

We ordered food and drinks on Sunday. We were advised that there would be a delay for the food and some items were not available. The bar person was very helpful. The kitchen staff were apparently dealing with an unprecedented number of deliveries. When the food arrived both dishes had the same appearance, one was lasagne, the other a cottage pie. They both were quite tasty. UNFORTUNATELY after just 3 or 4 mouthfuls there were at least 2 hairs, which looked like dog’s hairs in the lasagne, we didn’t further investigate. We were charged only for our drinks of course and the staff were extremely apologetic. We had intended to go there again whilst on holiday in the area but obviously we will be choosing other restaurants.Edited after response . The hair I removed was about 2ins max and the one embedded in the food, under the top layer was seen by a staff member. It was in the food not on top of it. what a pity the manager who was on site didn't bother to come and speak to us

Good food and very friendly staff. Rarely been in a pub that is so dog-friendly (there is dog menu and we even got a bowl of cooked meet left-overs for the dog!).

Excellent range of dishes especially for our vegan diner. Prices were reasonable and good portion sizes. Drinks were a little expensive for soft drinks but this is becoming the norm. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

We stayed in castle acre on a weeks holiday, we were looking for a food delivery and stumbled upon The White Heart. We ordered 3 burger meals and halloumi fries along side. The food arrived exactly when it was predicted on JustEat and was piping hot. Not sweaty like some deliveries! The food was exceptional! The burgers were huge (and I made the mistake of doubling up on my burger!) and very juicy, the sweet potato fries were cooked just right and the whole meal was as though we were eating in the pub but at home!We also had a breakfast from them, we all went for a “create your own”. The food again was piping hot and perfectly cooked. Runny fried eggs but they were actually cooked! Again amazing value and tasted amazing, really sets you up for the day!We decided that we wanted to try and eat in, so we went for an evening meal with out 2 dogs, they have a dog dinner menu with quite a few options! They are also able to do the dogs dinners raw if your dogs are on a raw diet! They treated the dogs like they were just as important of a customer as the humans by giving them attention and giving them a few treats! The food as expected was even better than the delivery, the pub is a wam and friendly place, the staff can’t do enough for you and are attentive without being annoying! There are lots of adverts around the place for their family friendly days and different offers and themed nights, again at very reasonable prices! All in all I couldn’t recommend this place more if I tried, if you have children (of the human or doggy kind) I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this pub! I wish there were more pubs like this especially where I live!Congratulations to all the staff on making this place amazing!Vegetarian options: Every burger on the menu has a veg optionKid-friendliness: We didn’t experience any child friendly activities, but they have adverts all around about family days and activities, so it’s very family friendly!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat after work as my other half was parked close by for the night, figured we would try out the food, we were both super impressed, lovely fresh food, good portion sizes and all for a fair price! Staff were lovely and the place is well kept and clean!

Very dog friendly Table for 4 - 2 Fish pies, 1 Sausage and Mash, 1 Tikka Masala. The two fish pies were steaming hot but both veg were a little on the cool side, the sausage and mash was cooked well but again the veg could have been a bit warmer, the tikka was hot enough, the toilets would benefit from a refurb, staff very friendly to both us and the dogs. There is also a doggy menu - such a nice touch.
