I ordered 3 times from these guys, and all 3 times it was a successful experience. Delicious fish, tasty burgers, excellent sausages, good chips. The only thing I didn’t like about the chips was the many tiny pieces of potato (which accumulate mainly at the bottom). But anyway 5 stars. Good luck:)

Staying close by and came in this evening to feed a hungry family of 5 adults.Excellent portion sizes, lovely food, and great service.Certainly a "plaice" we'd visit again!

Needed to add this update.I rang the shop and spoke to a young lady thats how i know about the son using his batter and not his fathers. The young girl rang back and apologised but said she couldn't do anything about the issue as she only works there.Been taken over fish is flat had the son run it used batter from his shop not his dads it was horrid.The fish was dark, batter inside was all slimey/doughy.chips woody tasting and sausage was a grey colour.Was worried 4 my grandson eating the sausage so through it away all horrible and expensive ??And £20+ wastedNever go there again.Phoned to air my disappointment no offer of replacement but wouldn't do it if sons cooking.The Croxten fish shop or Admirals chip shop is so much better.
Food was ok but the guy who took my order and cooked it would not let the two girls working there do anything they had to wait until he said serve these people this they even had to ask if they could take a specific bit of fish. If he would let them do their jobs the place would probably run much smoother I'm not going back there because of this discrimination of work

We tried this chip shop over a year ago when we first moved to Thetford, wasn't impressed so didn't go again. Then we saw that it was under new management so we tried again, still not impressed. The chips were ok and a big enough portion, the cod was awful, really greasy, very thin and not very tasty. At £11.70 most definitely not worth the money, will not be going anymore.
