Recently moved to the area and we have done the rounds and found this is the best fish and chips we have ever had. Largest cod is a massive meal. Done to order skin on or off. Extremely friendly and helpful and always worth a visit. Not the cheapest but you won't find better and huge portions make this very worth while at any cost.

At last a chippie for veggies with super chips fried in vegtable oil and amazing lightly battered halloumi. My partner loved the cod too! Well done and thank you Barry and the team!

Used Just Eat app to order from here. Understandle that as itvwas early evening it said food would take just under an hour. Having said that would I have waited that long had I turned up in person? However still nothing one and a quarter hours later so I rang up to ask. When I eventually got through, I was told by the guy that they had 'been busy'. When I adked why I wasn't advised they said they couldn't do that but food was just about to leave. Nor was I impresswd with the tone of what was being said. When my food eventually arrived, surprise surprise the food was luke warm at best. In future Woodbines it is for me next time. Communication and polite telephone manners are good traits to have my friend, I suggest you try them

Truly shocking and will be reported. Enquired with regards to allergens and the staff did not have a clue - even admitted not sure if it was flour used in the batter. Clearly no allergy management in place, guidelines or training.

Recently moved to the area and rang Chips Away to be greeted by an extremely pleasant gentleman placed a home delivery order .. arrived on time … generous portions .. tasted delicious .., can’t fault them and look forward to being a regular customer

Proper fish 'n' chips from a proper fish 'n' chip shop! Huge portions and everything tasted fresh and good quality. Only downside perhaps is the shear amount of polystyrene packaging we recieved ? Not great considering how most places have now switched to more eco friendly alternatives... Don't let that put you off though, this is great food at great value ?

New additions to their menu. You must try the deep fried whitebait, delicious - I''ll be ordering them again. Kids loved the Cumberland Sausage, a tastier alternative to the normal battered sausage. Always a friendly efficient service, highly recommended. 15% discount for online orders as well.

Ordered a few portions of chips this evening, the most disgusting chips I've ever tasted. I would honestly like to know how they cook chips that aren't black yet so hard. Fish cakes were ok, but can't really go that wrong with them. Cod was ok although the batter was disgusting. My business will be seen elsewhere and not with this revolting establishment.
