What a great find. I saw the pub coming home from the station the other night and I'm so pleased I did - popped in for a drink, lovely staff, decor and atmosphere so came back a few days later for lunch.The food is fabulous. Good size portions so bring a good appetite!Well cooked, tasty, on point every time - scampi is often not crunchy, poorly cooked - these were deliciously crispy on the outside and lovely inside,tender but not squishy (or tough cos overcooked), ideal combi, and my friend's burger was perfect - as were all the sides and the pud. Yes, it's 'pub grub' if you like but it's 1) pretty perfectly cooked 2) excellent choices, including for veggies and vegans.Staff are fab. I see some people mentioned it's expensive, I absolutely refute that - 6 large glasses wine (!??), 2 large and very good coffees, 2 fabulous mains with more than we could eat and a pud - less than 60. I mean. If you think that's expensive then you've probably never left your village and don't even think about going to Ireland, Luxembourg, Scandinavia (or anywhere outside your village).Right, so, I've gone on so I have. Thanks a million, we'll be back. You who are reading this - go visit and we'll see ye there ?Vegetarian options: Great choice, both veggie and vegan. Ye will absolutely not be disappointed.

Awful food. Lovely waitress. Ordered a tagliatelle dish- pasta was so overcooked it turned to mush. Chef came over to review the complaint made by myself, he was so rude and actually ate the pasta out of my hand and said “this is how we do it here” and walked off! Crazy that people can serve food like that and not expect complaints. No wonder we were the only ones at 5pm on a Friday evening!

Excellent pre-Christmas lunch with neighbours. Good service despite a very busy time. Food served hot and orders all correct. We all had a great time.

Just had lunch. Roast of the day, roast pork with roast and new potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meat was fine but one of my roast potatoes was not cooked in the middle being hard to cut and the vegetables were over cooked and a bit soggy.However, my biggest issue is the totally inadequate wheelchair access to the pub. The ramp is excessively steep and the two doors are too close together to operate independently. I was pushing and found it difficult to negotiate, a wheelchair user on their own would find it impossible.

Good food (when it finally arrived!) but service was atrocious. Firstly we were told that one menu choice wasn't available, then a few minutes later that it was available! The service was extremely slow - we had to wait well over an hour for our meals. In fact several other people arrived after we had ordered, ate their meals and left before we were even served. When we asked what had happened to our meals we were told that it was because we were a larger party (5 adults and 2 kids)! It was supposed to be a birthday celebration but was memorable for all the wrong reasons! We will not be eating there again.

Reasonable pub grub served quickly, hot and tasty and at a reasonable price given the market. Nice to have a few smaller, cheaper options for all. Not just kids. Good selection of drinks on tap.

It's unfortunate that my first experience of The Railway was for a funeral, but this wee pub was great. Excellent location, nice beer, warm and with a friendly welcome from the staff. Will make a point to come back next time I'm in Norfolk!

First time visit under unusual circumstances but definitely worth a second visit as staff were friendly,acomodating and the food was great.
Good staff, simple pub food from a limited menu with the option of small meals as well as the large plates. I had the small haddock, chips and mushy peas, with a good guest ale, and was very pleased by the food and decor.Parking: Sufficient space for all customers.
