Great place ? Cozy atmosphere ? The staff and its local guests are very friendly? luxury room ? The restaurant and food(dinner) are amazing?? In the morning there was a delicious «Full Yorkshire breakfast» and coffee ☕️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ??

Ruined by tasteless "musac" blarring from loudspeakers in every room, and a general sense of lack of appreciation this is ruining the entire experience. Odd, given the attention to other aspects in this pub chain.

We booked the Oak Tree Inn quite by accident for a brief visit to Yorkshire and we were most definitely not disappointed. The welcome on arrival was excellent and was extended to our dog Teddy who was staying with us. The room itself was very well presented clean and very comfortable and even included a dog bed for Teddy. The village of Helperby is very pretty and the local residents extremely friendly on a walk around everyone took the time to say hello. In the evening we had booked a meal and it was delicious. Top marks to Steve the chef who even took the time to come and speak to us about the food, would absolutely recommend eating here if you are staying. Beautifully presented and cooked with plenty of options to suit all tastes, great wine too. We enjoyed a coffee and a drink in the bar afterwards and met the gorgeous Trigger and his owners again lovely people. We had an excellent nights sleep and woke up to breakfast beautifully cooked and served by Helen. The choice was great and I could definitely recommend the full English. I really can't fault this place the food and the staff are superb if you are out this way it is an excellent base form which to explore what Yorkshire has to offer. The warmest of welcomes and excellent food and accommodation.

Just had lunch at the Oak Tree. Had the Chicken Supreme and I'd say the title describes it perfectly. Beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. The chef really knows what he's doing. Highly recommended

A very last minute booking for a stopover en route to Norfolk from Cairnryan and definitely one of the best spur of the moment decisions we've ever made. Our room was cosy, spotlessly clean, warm and so comfortable - we had an amazing night's sleep - the spa bath was a surprising and perfect addition. Our evening meal was truly memorable and absolutely delicious. Steve the chef even took time to explain how he was putting his own spin on the dishes and personally presented us with a perfect chocolate fondant - such a shame I can't upload the video - it was a real "Masterchef moment"!Special mention as well to the lovely lady who greeted and served us and brought treats for our dog. With it's picturesque village setting with lovely walks on the doorstep we will definitely return next time we're on a road trip.Thank you.

Had a 2 course meal here. We'd heard the Korean fried chicken was excellent so both of us went for that and we weren't disappointed. Firstly, it was the perfect portion size for a starter and secondly, the chicken was fantastic. Crispy and tasty but the sauce on it really made it above and beyond. The mains were steak and a burger. My wife likes her steak still mooing so went for a rare and it came out just how she likes it. My burger was big and proper 'meaty' with a really good bun. Fries were also seasoned well and crispy. We'd like to head back and try a few other things on their menu. 100% recommend

Was invited to an 18th Birthday calibration Sunday dinner, was greeted by very professional, friendly staff, who were very welcoming, and gave us options where to wait for the rest of our party, we overestimated the travel time and arrived a little early. We had drinks in the bar, and while they had had a birthday "do" the previous day, and were out of stock of some items, suggested alternatives, that were actually better than what we requested. The other guests arrived and we were escorted to the private room, which was well laid out, so the 20 plus people were around the same table, and able to converse with each other. The food was prompt, and served quickly and was excellently cooked and presented. the whole event went very well, and I am sure the organiser, was pleased with the way everything went. Well worth a visit, whether it's for a drink, or a meal, and I am sure a stay over would be equally worth considering. Well Done!

We booked for dinner, we were seated by the Christmas tree which was lovely. The food was lovely our only complaint is the service was slow and they forgot part of our order.

The food was very good and well presented. Good portion sizes and very well seasoned. The service however could have been a little improved as the waitresses seemed a bit off and seemed to have an attitude within their working environments. The food was amazing and would visit again.

Wow, what a treat this was. Yorkshire steak and ale pie was amazing, pie was so tasty we had to ask where they got them from, chips were cooked to perfection with the perfect seasoning, all the veg was excellent and the red wine gravy was the best I've ever had, such a gem of a place, best around in the Boroughbridge/york area for pub food, can't be beaten!
