Stayed here through work. I had an Evening meal, great choices.The Rooms where very clean and spacious.The Breakfast was the best I ever had, fresh local produce. Superb.

In the heart of the charming village of Bedale, this should be an unmissable address! Superb setting, comfortable room (well, ok, the Wi-Fi is not the best, but who cares!), very good restaurant with tables near the fireplace where a lovely wood fire crackles, breakfast, the famous Full Yorkshire Breakfast is hearty and delicious. In short, we recommend!

We stayed for 1 night for a birthday on March 20th. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us and our dogs enjoyed all the fuss and of course all the treats.All food we had was excellent, cooked perfectly and served nice and hot.Many thanks to Aiden and all the staff for my birthday gift and card.We will see you all again very soon, Fred & MarilynRooms: We have stayed in just about every room here over the years, they are all overy comfortable and decor is very nice.Food & drinks: All the food is well cooked presented nicely served hot and a good choice on the menu

Lovely place to stay.One night stay but we have booked for a 3 night stay later on in the yearWe were greeted by a lovely member of staff ( rude not to have asked for her name) who couldn't do enough for us. A credit to the establishment.The room was large and warm so warm I went to turn the radiator down only to see my wife scowling at me so I opted to leave it warm ?.Great nights sleep on a very comfortable large bed.My wife wasn't hungry so only me for supper.I opted for the slow cooked brisket cottage pie. Was to die for. The only small complaint is the chips weren't chips. Skin on wedgies I would say. Proper chips would have made it better. But anyway it didn't spoil our experience.Now let's get on with the breakfast. Probably the best breakfast I have been served in all our years of traveling.All in all a 10* excellent nights stay.Well done to all involved. You know how to make your guest feel comfortable

We booked into this place whilst on a short break in nearby Masham. Not really our first choice but Masham venues were booked up. We were a bit apprehensive when it was quite empty when we arrived, and wondered what we had done. Once our starter arrived it soon allayed any fears, very tasty and a good sized portion. This was only bettered when the salmon special main course arrived, best I have ever had, with the accompanying vegetables and potatoes. Previous courses were that good, we had to have a desert as well and that certainly didn't disappoint. It's a bit out of the way, from anywhere but the quality of food makes it well worth a visit and not extravagantly priced, for the quality on offer either. Only wish it was closer to home so we could visit more regularly.

We went for Sunday lunch last weekend and had a great time. The new team managing the pub made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and service great. We had the scotch egg to start (very generous portion!). My husband had the roast dinner for main and said it was excellent, and I had the risotto which was also yummy. Will definitely be returning.

Seen this establishment on four in a bedYou & your friend clearly playing a game ye don't deserve the winWhy didn't you ask for the black pepper ye were nit picking through outThat lovely professional couple who had the beautiful glamping site I know for a fact she would not provide damp linen....it's your imagination ye just had to find fault. ..And open the door when your cookingI'm absolutely disgusted the way ye conducted yourselves on that programmeAbsolute FRAUD.
