This is a great little cafe, especially for cyclists, tucked in close to the North Yorks Moors. The cafe was warm and inviting, with friendly and helpful staff. I think they could possibly reduce the covid measures they have in place now, in line with other establishments. The beans on toast came with really nice chunky bread, plenty of butter, and a decent amount of beans. However, serving them on a paper plate and a paper bowl for the beans. The hot chocolate and tea were both decent but the hot drinks were expensive: I really fail to see how any cafe can justify £3.50 for an americano in a paper cup, or a tea for £2.75 in a paper cup, for that matter. In fact, some of the prices were a jit strange. Not only were the hot drinks overpriced and strangely related, but also the soup of the day was over £6 (presumably, in another paper bowl, or a paper cup), which seems excessive.I fail to understand the reason for the overuse of paper plates, cups, and bowls. If it was an overhang of the covid measures (which the cafe seem keen to continue), then surely they would provide wooden cutlery too instead of the metal versions they provide. Also, if it's to reduce washing up, then why provide metal cutlery? Instead, they are contributing to single-use consumption by using throw-away waxed paper containers.Parking: There is a small, tight car park behind the cafe available for customer use.

It's a nice place to pop in for a coffee & cake or tray bake, comfy chairs & good music. It is a very popular spot for the cycling community, on street parking was fine as it was relatively quiet but I imagine it's a different story on a sunny weekend. I'll give that a try when the weather picks up.There is a nice relaxed feeling here (mid week and raining) - as if you could easily stay for a good couple of hours and not be rushed out. I bet it will be buzzing on warmer days.

Lovely little cafe with a homely atmosphere. Very popular with cyclists. I had a bacon sandwich which was very good quality bacon, and cooked well. Also had a coffee that was also good, with gingerbread syrup. They also have good cakes, which we took to goKid-friendliness: The sausage roll went down well with my nephew

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful charm and culinary excellence of The Rusty Bike Cafe in Swainby, and it's safe to say that this hidden gem has earned a permanent spot in my heart. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambience that perfectly complemented the rustic yet modern decor. The Rusty Bike Cafe stands out not only for its welcoming atmosphere but also for its exceptional food quality. The menu, a thoughtful blend of classic favourites and innovative creations, showcases the culinary expertise of the chefs who have a passion for crafting memorable dining experiences. My the way, the cakes are wonderful.

Disappointed at the apparent rules you need to follow here as well as the use of single use disposable cups. Makes you think it’s set up to benefit the owner rather than the customer. Frosty atmosphere.

I have rented quite a few bikes throughout Europe but this shop was by far the most friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend if you need a decent roadbike or mountainbike

We hired e mountain bikes from John and spent the day on the moors and had the time of our lives. The bike quality is superb, well maintained, fully charged with good battery life and price reasonable. John gave great route guidance for great off road tracks and road routes with glorious moor and valley views. Back in time for delicious cup of tea, Yorkshire tea loaf, and vegan date crumble for the hubby at the café before heading off to check out nearby Whorlton castle and church. Nothing short of fabulous.
