Visited the Wheatsheaf Inn with other members of the YDC, so only bought dinks. However, it was a lovely sunny day and the local annual fayre was in full swing. Folk were eating the pub food on outside benches.

Very friendly village pub with a good selection of ales. Went in with a friend who lives locally and we were welcomed as if we were regulars with stories and banter abounds. Really enjoyed my visit here and hopefully we will be able to come back soon.

An ideal pitstop for anyone on a daytrip on bicycle or on a longer bicycle journey. Great food and they even have a small bicycle work station where minor defects can be fixed.

I have been to almost all of the Tomohawk restaurants, this has by far got to be the best (especially now Husthwaite Tomohawk is closed).

We ordered our drinks, which came straight away, then food shortly after. I had the Flat Iron Steak (on the sizzling stone) and my partner had the Chicken Parmo, both with sides of the beef hash brown dish. Great flavour throughout and all food was piping hot (and steak cooked nicely as I like it blue), and with the hot stone to further cook steak to your liking this was ideal as it kept the meal hot and gave it that extra flavour. Reasonable price and pleasant staff.

Fabulous place in a picturesque setting with amazing views, plenty of seating inside and out.
The food was excellent all home cooked, with classic pub favourites and some different stand out dishes.
Portion sizes are good, no scrimping on quality or quantity.
Deserts were lovely too, all homemade.
