The Kings Head

Very friendly village pub with a good selection of ales. Went in with a friend who lives locally and we were welcomed as if we were regulars with stories and banter abounds. Really enjoyed my visit here and hopefully we will be able to come back soon.

Food was amazing definitely deserved 5 stars. The gravy was the best I've ever tasted and the chips crispy but not dried out. Overall service was amazing and the entire staff deserve a pat on the back.

Staying at a lodge in the area for partners birthday so booked a table here for Saturday evening. All I can say is excellent, excellent and excellent!Food, service atmosphere, everything you want for an enjoyable evenings dining.I'm 58 yrs old and I've dined all over the UK, and can honestly say that this was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had.Starter, main course and sweet were out of this world, and the staff couldn't do enough for you, and the cost was a lot cheaper than expected. Starters, mains, and sweet for 2 people, 3 pints and 2 ciders, and all for an amazing £66.00.All I can say is we'll done wheatsheaf, and would highly recommend to anyone. It's a definite 10 out of 10 from me. Thanks, Simon.

The Rusty Bike Cafe

This is a great little cafe, especially for cyclists, tucked in close to the North Yorks Moors. The cafe was warm and inviting, with friendly and helpful staff. I think they could possibly reduce the covid measures they have in place now, in line with other establishments. The beans on toast came with really nice chunky bread, plenty of butter, and a decent amount of beans. However, serving them on a paper plate and a paper bowl for the beans. The hot chocolate and tea were both decent but the hot drinks were expensive: I really fail to see how any cafe can justify £3.50 for an americano in a paper cup, or a tea for £2.75 in a paper cup, for that matter. In fact, some of the prices were a jit strange. Not only were the hot drinks overpriced and strangely related, but also the soup of the day was over £6 (presumably, in another paper bowl, or a paper cup), which seems excessive.I fail to understand the reason for the overuse of paper plates, cups, and bowls. If it was an overhang of the covid measures (which the cafe seem keen to continue), then surely they would provide wooden cutlery too instead of the metal versions they provide. Also, if it's to reduce washing up, then why provide metal cutlery? Instead, they are contributing to single-use consumption by using throw-away waxed paper containers.Parking: There is a small, tight car park behind the cafe available for customer use.

Tomahawk Steakhouse - Potto

Celebrated my daughter’s 21st at Tomahawk, Potto. Pre-ordered the food as it was a large ‘party’. We were asked when we wanted the food to be served, all food was spot on and perfect.
