I ordered a chicken madras and three chapattis and I think these may be the worst I've ever had. The chicken was processed and had the texture of rubber. The chapattis were soggy as they weren't wrapped in foil. I Will not be returning.

We decided to use this Indian as they delivered to the site we were staying at and the reviews in the quest book were good. The meal arrived quite quickly and there was plenty of it, however, the food itself was poor. The starters of the chicken and veggie chat puree were tough. My chicken tikka bhuna sauce was tasteless although there were good bits of chicken in there. My wife's vegetable biryani was very bland and she was unable to finish it. We both had bad upset stomachs following the meal resulting in the last day of our holiday being spent inside. Given the good reviews, we expected so much more but it was not an enjoyable meal.

After having ten years of using the BT, this past weekend's delivery will possibly be the last. A Tandoori Butter Chicken was delivered and comprised some of the worst chicken meat I've ever seen in a curry. What meat there was (2 pieces at best) was hard chicken leg end/foot with poultry hairs visible in the meal, certainly not breast as advertised. My partner was retching after one bite. A great shame that the standards have slipped so far.

I have just polished off most of a perfect Special Vegetable Biryani and from nan bread from Banyan Tree, Market Place, Easingwold. Everything about it was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. I normally go for a meaty Chinese but this year I thought I would have a change. I 100 % recommend this place and will definitely be back. The only reason I didn't finish it was because there was so much. Well done guys.Parking: Ample parking right outside the door on the market place.

After a long day walking around in York, we decided that a takeaway was in order. The Banyan Tree looked good, so we bought one from there. I had my usual Chicken Tikka Masala (don't judge!) and it was immense! Loved it!!

After we picked up our takeaway on Monday 29th August 2022, we tucked into a feast of onion bhajis, poppadoms, samosas, and three curries. I can comment on what I personally ate, which were: Poppadoms: unfortunately they tasted rancid Onion Bhajis: Very dry and hard, and didn't give the impression of being fresh at all. It tasted and felt more like it had been made yesterday or ealier and reheated and consquently overcooked. Shame. The flavour was ok, but still, was disappointed. Lamb Karahi: Again, the impression was that this had been prepared and reheated and was way overcooked. The sauce was good - it was indeed a tasty curry, but the lamb was way overdone and dry. Garlic Nan: You can't really go wrong with that, can you? As expected. Not very garliccy, though. All in all, a decent enough curry, but nothing to write home about, or indeed, to repeat. Perhaps it was because it was a bank holiday. If I try again mid-week (I live abroad, so don't hold you breath), I will update.

There isn't much open in the area in a Monday night so we got a takeaway from here. It was really tasty, and it was nice they do smaller portions as I often find it far too much.
