Always a lovely, friendly welcome from Cyanne supported by Joe at the bar which includes well stored cask beers. Food has that lovely home cooked feel. Good quality and value carvery on Sundays with a great choice of veg and perfect Yorkshire pudding, Abi providing engaging, yet efficient, service. A choice of setting, in the cosy restaurant room or in sight of football on TV. It would be remiss not to mention Jenna's appropriate attentiveness. A solid choice for a Sunday lunch.

Quite a busy bar, no proper hand pulled real ales for us old gits, just pricier fizzy craft ones. But venue itself was fab, nice layout, loads if room and right on the river bank. Great to end our boys outing there. Oh and they actually gave out free shots at around 6pm, cheeky little bonus that was!

My friend and I both had an early bird fish, chips and peas, for a bargain price of £8. We both said our meals were delicious, home made chips and lovely fish. For pudding we both had sticky toffee, with ice cream, which was delicious and again a good portion size. For 2 courses we paid £12 each. The staff were really friendly and first class service. Would definitely go again.

Visited this pub on a Thursday, which was steak night. It wasn’t very busy and the offer was 2 rump steaks for £20. At this price, we honestly did not expect anything amazing. However, this is one of the nicest steaks I have ever eaten! It was cooked (medium rare) to perfection. Just the right amount of seasoning. The chips were also very tasty. The meal came with cherry tomatoes and a salad. Again, both were delicious. As I was hungry, I ordered the cheesy garlic bread. This was also superb, but I could not finish it as I was so full. It is a mystery why this pub was not packed with people, serving food of this quality and price. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Delicious Sunday lunch. We've been coming to our caravan for years near Easingwold but this is the first time we've been to The Commercial for Sunday lunch, it certainly won't be the last. One of the best Sunday lunches we've had.

What an excellent find! This was my first visit to Easingwold and I'm glad I called here for lunch. Had an excellent starter and main, plus a pint of real ale. A really great experience and very friendly. Thank you,

Sat outside on a lovely summer day it doesn’t get much better than this watching the world go by. Good market just across the road (on a Friday). Very good value three courses early bird menu for £16. Mussels very tasty and lasagne was great. Sticky toffee pudding was actually treacle sponge when it arrived but still good.
Lovely place will Deffo be going back expensive but very nice ale ?

Visited this establishment twice during a visit to the village, I must say the Lasagne was the best I have ever tasted. The portion was so big I was given a 'doggy bag' and enjoyed what was left the next day.
