the hotel chocolate here is the best. i got the white hot chocolate and it was amazing, sweet but not too sickly it was the perfect amount.

Coffee is brilliant, and a flat white up at the top of any I have ever drank. Recommend the creamy mushrooms, and bacon. Staff an absolute delight. Can get crowded but what a great atmosphere.

This place is an absolute asset to the town, not only is it dog friendly but very dog positive, the staff always give our collie a bit of fuss when we go in, furthermore the food is really great, the sausage sandwiches (add a fried egg) on the chia bread is as good as it gets, it’s such a luxury and make it impossible to choose anywhere else at any time of day to go to when in Easingwold. They have great veg options and the French toast (usually different toppings changing all the time) is outstanding. The little chocolate brownie you get with any coffee is a lovely touch too

Poor service - was shown to a table, no one came to take my order so had to ask someone to take it. Waitresses were wearing nail polish, a professional place should know this is not done. Won’t return.

I dined here yesterday (21/12/2023) and from the moment I arrived the service was shocking. I walking in the door with my babe in arms, a toddler that’s 3 and my eldest daughter for a lovely Christmas school break-up treat. No one acknowledged me even though there was a waitress stood by the door. I needed a high chair so i asked for one and was answered with “there’s one over there” whilst she pointed to a dirty high chair on the other side of the room. When I realised she had no intention to retrieve it for me I went over and got it myself. I then asked for the table spray and cleaned it myself! All whilst I still had my baby in my arms. And she just watched. Our order was taken quickly which was good however whilst we were waiting for our food and drink the bell kept going off for the waitress to get our food/drink which I could see was ready on the counter but the 2 waitresses were just ignoring it whilst having a chat by the waiters station. For a good 5 minutes. When the food arrived it was lovely however the food arrived before the drinks. The coffee was delicious and so were the milkshakes. No colouring was offered at all either so when I went to the toilets I took it upon myself to look for some which I found. And when I took some to occupy my children the waitress gave me such a dirty look as if I’d done something bad?Overall the quality of food and drinks were amazing, it’s just a shame the whole experience was ruined by the lack of quality service. I certainly won’t be returning on the basis that I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I don’t have a lot of money as it’s Christmas but I really wanted a nice treat for my daughters and I just feel like I wasted my money and should’ve probably gone elsewhere. What a disappointment.

I love this place! Fantastic coffee, milkshakes and brownies! I had French toast the other week which was amazing. I see the Avo on Toast and chilli served to other customers and I can't wait to try those too.Lovely staff too, I popped it at 3.59 yesterday (closing time 4pm) and even though the staff were all cleaning up, they still allowed me to use the loo and made a couple of milkshakes!
Lovely coffees and cakes. Saw some lovely dishes being delivered to other tables. Prompt and friendly

I have to say that the food is good, love the brownies but the service is terrible...It has happened more than twice now where I have ordered ahead for a hot drink and have gone in people have been sat waiting and have got theirs which is fair enough but when I went in yesterday and 3 people walked in ordered their hot drink at the counter and got it before mine is wrong, the whole waiting area cleared before I got my drink and I ordered ahead it has happened so many times it has put me off going there. I let it slide the first time but it has happened to me a couple of times and my partner and now he flat out refuses to go in. Disappointed.

Visited twice over the weekend when we were in the area. Wish we lived locally! The sausage sandwiches are simply the best we have ever tried. The bread was divine and the portions extremely generous. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate is first class. Prices very reasonable indeed and excellent service too. Look forward to visiting again to try some other things on the menu
