My fav is Cod&chips...i am mega fussy but these are THE best ever!! We travel over 2 hours for a long weekend away but it has to include a Dicky Bees!!

Visiting Filey and wandering past here and a lady passers-by said best in Filey so we gave it a try.OMG not disappointed. Cod,chips and peas absolutely brilliant, really worth a try people ?

Excellent fish and chips. The batter was crisp and the fish was very fresh and flaked beautifully. Everything was cooked to order. Would definitely visit again!

A party of 10 friends descended on Filey on Friday evening. Having frequented Dicky Bees as a child, a significant number of years ago I suggested the gang had Fish and Chips from here. We rang first to make sure they could fulfil a large order so close to closing time, to be told that we could ring our order back through to them once we had decided and it would be ready for us when we wanted to collect at 6.15. We were on the doorstep at 6.10 and the very friendly ladies were ready to bag it up for us, with lots of smiles and plenty of laughs. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The haddock, chips, peas and curry sauce (don't knock the peas and curry combo til you've tried it, it's a taste sensation) were exceptional, just like I remembered.

This is reliably the best fish and chip shop in Filey. The food is perfectly cooked. Brown's is a close second but the rest are pretty poor. I've tried all of them.

Take away: Fish and chips are very good though the chips can be a bit hard. If you like good fish & chips in Filey, come here - much better than some of the other places.

Visiting on holiday and was looking for a nice chippy. Cod was really nice and the chips were cooked lovely, gravy and curry sauce really tasty too. Will definitely go back before we go home ?

We came here just before closing, the lady checked and had some fish left. This put me off slightly but how wrong was i, cod and chips absolutely beautiful, one of the best iv had up YORKSHIRE. And if the owner is reading this, give them girls a pay rise, they work really hard and are a credit to your business.

Thought we’d try some where new from normal places. Fish and chips is subjective and one man likes crispy golden batter and another likes it soft and greasy.Food didn’t work me here. A very dark batter, a thin fish and heart sunk when the skin was still on.No curry sauce, so went with gravy but too runny for me(great for others perhaps).Freshly cooked to order, friendly staffs and reasonable pricing.

Dicky Bees has gone down the pan. Used to be a really good find. Apparently Dicky sold up and the new owners do not have a clue. Chips old or reheated, and fish over cooked from frozen. This was one of the best fish and chip shops in Filey , but now even worse than Ingham’s. Go to Browns around the corner
