Monsoon Indian Cuisine
16A Belle Vue Cres, FileyWe’re from Preston and we come to Filey few times a year. This place was great. Cozy, Lovely little restaurant excellent food. Service is excellent, as it’s cozy and small with around 10 tables you can call a waiter and be dealt with straight away. Yasin was excellent and were the rest but I got his name. If any worries about halal and ‘authentic’ for a Muslim of Indian background like myself. It ticked both boxes. You can ask them to spice it up ‘apna style’ and everything on the menu was halal, including drinks (0%). They have a ‘bring your own bottle’ policy.\nThis as of 10/08/25

Haven Holiday Park, Primrose Valley, FileyOrdered once, through the Haven App. Arrived within 10 minutes to my table. My meal was amazing and as expected, nice and hot. The ONLY negative, is that the Cheese Bites had clearly been sat under a light a LONG time. Pricewise, to be expected of BK.

Pet Friendly Places
The Coble Primrose Valley
A165, Primrose Valley, FileyBeautiful park in a perfect location for exploring the local area. Caravan was clean and tidy except for one sock and a crisp packet that I found as we were checking out on the last day. Had a 3 bedroom saver caravan and would sleep 6 but would have been a squish. Was good as a base though Entertainment was brilliant. If you go for a week though, be prepared to see repeats of certain shows as they expect most people to either be staying 3 or 4 nights. Special shout outs to Jack and Bea who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and Jack even remembered my sons name at the end of a very busy week. I noticed there is now a lack of daytime activities (think arts and crafts) unless you pay for extras with the activity teams. We did the archery and the aerial ropes, both very enjoyable and thank you to Ben for saving me twice on the aerial course! Swimming pools were a good size. Could be warmer but once you're in they're OK. Controversially, I like the booking system as the pools then don't get too busy and you can actually swim. Food was OK. Papa John's have some good deals on and the prices are what you would expect for a holiday park. Chip shop chips were not fresh chips though which disappointed us. They seemed like frozen chips fried up and that gave them a very weird sandy texture in the middle Overall I would definitely return. Beautiful sea views, 2 direct access points to the beach and friendly staff. My 9 year old son definitely enjoyed it and that's the main thing

Frothies Coffee
3 Union St, FileyWe visited as it was one of the few places open out of season. The menu is limited to sandwiches, baguettes, panini's and salads. We had a salad, and a sandwich with fries. The food was very good, and reasonably priced.
The interior is a bit tired but clean, and the service is good. The menu could do with a bit more imagination, but if you want something to eat at a reasonable price, you could do a lot worse.

C J's Fish & Chips
46 Murray St, FileyIt would probably be unfair to rate the atmosphere too highly as we had takeaway rather than eating inside, although the queue of people waiting to be seated suggests that clearly isn’t an issue!
What really stood out was the food. The fish was beautiful, the chips were perfectly cooked, and the curry sauce was exactly what you want from a proper chippy. The polite and courteous lady who served us made the experience even better. Sitting on the seafront enjoying our lunch was an absolute joy.

The Brown Room
5 Union St, FileyAbsolutely lovely little retro style gem.
We stumbled upon this place after being put off somewhere else by poor reviews of late, especially around being able to share a meal or order a small portion.
It’s lovely and clean, you can sit in or take away. We ate in and our waitress was really kind, bringing us a plate so I could just have some of my husband’s meal. The fish was delicious, beautiful batter really light and tasty, and the chips were yummy. As a bonus they have tatare sauce on the table.
We will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone. All of the staff are friendly & welcoming.

Inghams Fish Restaurant
38 Belle Vue St, FileyI had an absolutely wonderful experience at this fish and chip shop in Filey! The staff are beyond fantastic, warm, welcoming, and so attentive. The food was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly crispy, fresh, and not at all greasy, so every bite was a dream. It’s also such a family-friendly gem—my kids loved it, and the atmosphere was so inviting. Plus, for fish and chips, the value is unbeatable—especially with prices these days. This place truly deserves all the praise—I’ll be returning again and again. Thank you ?

Filey Coffee Lounge
48 Belle Vue St, FileyHere’s a polished, heartfelt review you could post:
Our first visit to the Filey Coffee Lounge turned out to be an absolute gem of an experience, and it certainly won’t be our last. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed. It’s the sort of place that has a genuine charm about it — friendly, inviting, and clearly loved by both locals and visitors alike.
I decided to go for the all-day breakfast along with a cappuccino, while my wife chose the sausage sandwich. Both meals were absolutely superb and clearly prepared with care and attention to quality. The first thing that stood out was the sausages. Too often cafés use average, forgettable sausages, but not here. These were proper high-quality sausages with fantastic flavour, beautifully cooked, and packed with taste. You could genuinely tell they were made from good ingredients rather than being the cheap, mass-produced kind you so often encounter elsewhere. My wife commented several times about how delicious her sausage sandwich was, and I completely agreed after trying a bite myself.
The all-day breakfast was equally impressive — generous portions, perfectly cooked items, and everything served hot and fresh. Every component on the plate tasted as though it had been carefully selected and prepared properly rather than simply thrown together. It’s increasingly rare these days to find a café that gets the basics so right, but Filey Coffee Lounge absolutely delivers.
Now onto the cappuccino — simply excellent. Smooth, rich, and expertly made with a lovely velvety texture and great coffee flavour. It’s clear the staff know how to make a proper coffee rather than just pressing buttons on a machine. It complemented the breakfast perfectly and was one of the nicest cappuccinos I’ve had in quite some time.
What really made the visit memorable, though, was the overall experience. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine without ever feeling overbearing. The staff created a lovely atmosphere that made us want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute. Places like this are what make seaside towns special — independent cafés with character, quality food, and people who genuinely care about what they do.
If you’re visiting Filey and looking for somewhere that serves excellent food, quality coffee, and offers a warm welcome, I honestly can’t recommend Filey Coffee Lounge highly enough. A fantastic first visit for us, and we’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in town.

Country Park Cafe
Country Park Caravan Site, FileyWe visit the cafe regularly, it has a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere and is a great place to meet up with friends or for a rest along your hike . Its close to the nearby cliff walks, Brigg and town, public toilets and parking. The current owners present a very pleasant and clean establishment, offering fairly priced good food and exceptional cakes and pastries. Rachel, Michael and team provide an excellent service and they all work so hard, the place is a credit to them and they deserve the best feedback for their very hard work 5? every time.
