Small fish and chips for £5.95 was small fish - and chips. The fish was tiny, the smallest I have ever seen and the skin left on was so thick it was almost as thick as the skinny fish. The better ones of the chips were nice but mostly they were scrappy, pointy bits. They might be the only place I have ever known to fry in beef dripping which, to me, was an interesting experience but seemed to be losing them customers.

Has this place been taken over? Has been lovely for years. Today took ages to cook and then both fish and fishcakes so overdone had to throw away. Oil gritty, needs changing. Will not go back again.

Fish and chips spot on. 3 small fish & chips and 3 drinks plus a couple of sauces £20.The staff are friendly, but don't seem overly happy. Bit of a blood from stone atmosphere. But still, us and the kids enjoyed getting the food and sitting on the wall looking out to the sea.

Unable to give zero stars. The quality of the chips are dreadful. They say cooked freshly the traditional way? Definitely not! That's £3.70 I've spent when most of them had to go in the bin. Even the seagulls would reject them. They were hard & dry. On the only positive note, they offer peri peri salt. Probably to disguise how awful the chips are.
This was a very bad experience. We had looked forward to eating fish and chips outdoors but found the food terrible. The fish was thin, off white and totally lacking in taste. The chips were OK but the mushy peas were tasteless. No wonder the assistants said they did not have many customers. Continue with this quality and they will not have any customers at all.
