What a find! Lovely interesting cafe with things for sale plus a sweet shop. Visited for breakfast on the way to York. We both had All Day breakfast which was lovely and tasty. The menu was varied with a nice things on toast section. Staff friendly and helpful. There is also a free car park just around the corner. Well worth a visit.
The cafe itself is lovely with lots of character in a good location. It is dog friendly with a lovely log fire and friendly staff. I ordered a toastie but when it arrived I regretted my decision. It was dry thin toast with a small amount of filling with a a tiny bit of wilted salad at a price of £5.90. We stopped in here for a coffee after a canal walk. We were welcomed in, as was our dog and enjoyed an excellent coffee. It's a very quirky cafe, but the staff are cheerful and wecoming.
